I've been waiting a long time for this, and now I'm proud to show you guys how to install the JDM Inspire UC1 headlights onto your 2003-2007 Honda Accord (both coupe and sedan.) Despite these being one of the dream mods for 7th gen Accord owners, there seems to be a shortage of information on how to install them properly, especially the wiring. I'm hoping that this video covers everything you'll need to know, ranging everywhere from the types of bulbs, how to wire them, installing them on the car, and aiming the beam. I unfortunately encountered a technical error while filming me making the wiring harness, but below I'll leave a reference guide or you can always hit me up @natecolena on Instagram or @sauceboinate on Snapchat if you still need more help with anything. Thanks for the video. I am a newb and my girlfriend damaged the front and needed to replace my bumper, fender, and headlights. I will be doing this and following your very helpful video. People on the forums say you cant adjust the rhd inspire properly. You made me a believer. Thanks again

@@reinaldonavarro3800 The price has actually gone down quite a lot in recent years. Back in 2013-14 a set used to run for $800 or more for the lights alone with no bulbs compared to around $300 today. The reason why it's still expensive is because they come from a car that was never sold in the USA, so they're still pretty rare and much harder for sellers to source them.

That accord really coming along! LOVE YOUR VIDS!! I've got a 7.5 Gen and building my own headlights as the inspires are a bit too pricey. I'm getting a used set of oem's putting in a sequential led strip and retro fitting 2.5 projectors. I'll be making a series on my other channel. Accord authority.

Love the uc1 conversion now all you really need is side mirrors and front end conversion (hood fender bumper), need to slam this thing already I got a 7th gen too, not going the uc1 route though

Here in Ohio it's legal to use white turn signals. So I matched up my Auxbeam LED Hi/Lo to my Parking/Turn signals. It looks freakin good. Now my friends are doing the same thing :) Oh yeah, I have a 02' Accord.
I need help adjusting mine are all crazy direction. I been trying to use the adjuster but still no right direction

Can the low beam which has d2s bulbs change to led d2s? Is it only fit for d2s bulbs?

I'm not sure if they make LED D2S, because D2S bulbs are originally HID. But they are very bright anyways as long as you buy a good brand.

Hey you should do a courtesy light upgrade for the back doors the inspire has them but the top trim models , U S accords has red reflectors and none ever received the back courtesy lights. The hole is there for adding one...

i have to say i really like this mod, i was a bit curious about the wiring gauge used and if I were to make the wiring setup myself is it optional to run a 7443 socket for the turn signal than the 7440 socket?
I used 16 gauge wire at the time, and I'm pretty sure you can use 7443 as long as you can make the socket fit inside the housing. I used a dremel on my old 9005 LED low beam bulbs so they would fit in the 9006 socket for the Inspire high beam.
Where did you get the inspire lenses? Are they OEM JDM honda? I thought i saw a honda stamp on the back. Did your car come with HID before or were the HID ballasts in the inspire? This looks sick! Thanks for posting.
Yes, they are OEM JDM. I got the headlights from ebay and the bulbs from Amazon Japan. I have a link to a google doc in the description, but there's an adapter cable for $10 that allows you to plug the HID ballasts into the stock connector.

The problem ain’t hid o led. Is that the last housing was made for hologen. I want this but 300 to 500 is tooo much. I’m put switch backs on my then keep waiting until I finish my car. To get the extra stuff like the rear lip and this .
Greetings friend, I liked the whole video but I have a question. I want to install the headlights but they only work with HID lights? Because right now I am using the factory headlights but with LED lights and they are super bright and illuminate well all the road.
Yes the low beams in these are D2S which are only available as HID since they use a ballast to power the bulbs. I used to have LED in my stock headlights as well, but these are brighter plus they don't blind oncoming traffic

Do the city lights end up only turning on if parking lights or headlights are on? Just wondering cause my Accord has stock DRL's through the high beam bulbs.
Yes they only come on with the parking and low beams. You can probably look up how to disable the high beam DRL if you don't want it or do some other wiring setup
Will this work on a 2003 Accord that doesn't have "city lights" stock?
Yeah the wiring harness just splits the stock turn signal into 2 separate bulbs

There's someone on ebay who custom makes them if you search "UC1 Harness"
So the “city light” is a drl or corner light?
They call it a city light or position light but yeah it's just a drl that can be turned on and off on the accord harness
Do these bulbs work on usdm accord or imma better of just staying with regular led bulbs and hid
The bulbs in the description will work as turn signals for the rear, for stock headlights you need 9006 LED low beam and 9005 for high beam. The other bulbs will only work on Inspire headlights
Great video. Question. For the amber leds you need resistors to avoid hyperflash?
I installed an LED turn signal relay which goes above the drivers footwell. Resistors make LEDs use as much power as a stock bulb, but with the relay they don't hyperflash and still save battery power. You can find this by looking up "LM526 LED Flasher Relay"

@@MiguelLopez-wi5nm Those are in the description, I got them off Amazon Japan. You can click on the Japanese flag icon at the top of the website or in the side menu to change the language to English. It had free shipping at the time I ordered them and I believe they still do.

Hey man . Note..I have a 06 accord. And it has daytimerunning light but its on the high beam. Its going to look different from yours..you suggest unplug the highbean since we dont use it?
Does the top part of the headlight light up or is it just dark and if so with led lights are they very bright ?
Yes the top part lights up with the high beams, I put LED bulbs into them and they were super bright
Can you still turn the lights all the way off while car is on and in Park? Or will the “city light” or “parking light” always be on??
They only turn on when the headlights are on, either in low beam or just parking light mode. If you turn them off they'll be off completely
I would love to have these housings but my 06 Accord has the daytime running lights and high beam as the same bulb.
It would still work, I'm pretty sure you can pull the DRL fuse and it will make them function only as high beams
Mine work you have to make or buy a adapter harness a seller on eBay sells them for $150 a piece

Hi again sorry to bother you, I have one question about the headlamps when I put the emergency brake down the high is my DRL?
If you have an 06-07 Accord that's just how they are from factory. You can look up if there's a way to disable the factory DRL or just drive with the low beams on instead

They're in the description in the Google doc. You can change the language to English using the icon of a Japanese flag in the side menu of the website on a phone or at the top of the page on a browser
Do you still have those switch back led turning signals I could use them
Leppein makes a good Switchback LED for these cars, I have them in mine and they work great. Look that brand up on Amazon!

You need an LED flasher relay or use resistors with the turn signals. You can get the flasher relay here:

Yes it does fit on the coupe

I just did a basic drawing but there's not really a full diagram. The plug for the DRL and Turn Signal has 3 wires on the stock harness. The middle wire is ground, and the outer 2 are each power with 1 being for one bulb and 1 for the other. You just need to split the harness, run the ground wire to both, and each respective power to the correct bulb (can check which one flashes turn signal using a multimeter.) The low beams can be done using a $10 amazon harness in the Google doc.
What are the exact signal bulb sizes? I keep seeing between 7440 and 7443
The turn signals are 7440. 7443 is only for the brake lights, which look like nearly the same bulb but they won't actually work in the turn signals
How do I get the bulb sockets and the back cover
You can find the part numbers on this diagram, and look them up and see where they are for sale. I would recommend a website called "Amayama" to get brand new OEM JDM parts.

I don't remember the seller I just got the ones that looked like they were in the best condition

You can find the bulbs in the description, for the headlight housings I got them off ebay

I got them on eBay but you can also find them on some Japanese auction websites like Jauce

Also from ebay if you type in "CL7 Hazard Switch" for 03-05 cars and "CL9 Hazard Switch" for 06-07. The connectors are different in both so make sure you get the right one.
Did you need load resistors to prevent hyper flashing for those switchback LED turn signals?
I put an LED flasher relay from Diode Dynamics instead. That way it doesn't hyper flash and the LED's don't use as much power as they would with resistors.

The ballasts were replacements for a 2008 Acura MDX (made by Matsushita, same as stock Inspire.) And the headlight brackets were just the stock ones off the car
Could you show a way to adjust the highbeams?
At 13:03 you can see the adjustment screws in the picture, it's the circular gold ones. There are 2 adjustment screw on the outer parts of the headlights that can be adjusted the same as the low beam.
Okay so i have the stock headlights on my accord not the inspire ones.. i havent been able to even find the screw to adjust the low beams. 🤦♂️

So i just bought a 2007 Honda Accord . It has sunroof so idk its a ex or lx. I need to replace my front bumper and headlights coz they are both fuked up man.. I just found ur channel and thought you could help with it. So plz
It should be the same steps as this video to get the headlights and bumper off. Bumper has a few extra bolts on the bottom as well. If it has both a sunroof and volume controls on the steering wheel it's an EX.

@@samidpersia9832 I would check a junkyard at first, sometimes you can find them pretty cheap and already paint matched. If not, ebay would likely have them as well

@@samidpersia9832 It depends on what's near you, I've seen tons of junkyard Accords that have been rear ended so the front bumpers are still perfect. It would be cheaper that was but ebay is better for convenience factor

Also, D2S is projector housing, D2R is reflector housing..... not all are cross-capable
Allegedly D2C = D2R + D2S
Which would mean D2C works with both because its got both notches

It just depends on how much you want to spend. I forget what seller I got mine from, I just clicked whichever came up first at the time. Usually it doesn't make a difference as long as the condition looks good.

Why can’t you use regular 9005 led bulbs
For the high beams I've now replaced mine with 9005 LED. The low beam uses HID and only D2S bulbs will fit

@@SteezeThePlug You need the wires for the low beam, and another to split the stock turn signal bulb into 2 bulbs (city/DRL and turn). High beam you don't need wiring.

Those might be plug and play but I'm not completely sure

@@braydonmotivation141Ok in that case it should essentially be the same thing, you just need to tap into the turn signal plug and find which power wire is running constantly instead of blinking

@@braydonmotivation141 Yes, the stock harness for the turn signals has 3 wires: 1 ground in the middle and 2 power on each sides. One of the power wires will stay on with the headlights (parking light wire) and the other wire will only flash with the turn signals.
When you order the bulbs/ lights from the Japanese amazon site how the hell can you even read this stuff man

They are on ebay sometimes if you search "UC1 Headlights." They come from the Honda Inspire UC1 which was a car only sold in Japan

The Inspire doesn't have sidemarkers either, only the Accord CM5 in malaysia and other southeast Asian countries does. But yeah Honda sure loves to give USA the most basic models
No such thing as a City Light
That's just the terminology used on lots of Japanese-spec cars. It's the same as a parking light, corner light, DRL
