say you erased the original key, can it be reprogrammed ? and is there away to see which slot the original key is in before setting the new one?
Yes original keys can be reprogrammed as a spare key, as long as there is a key already programmed.

How about keyless function?
Yes, the keyless function is exactly the same, just in the programming menus, you would pick V041 instead of V051
what about the remote function ? can xtool programme the remote function on the mercedes fob ? and what models of mercedes can it programme ?
On this style of key the remote and transponder code together in the same procedure, as shown in the video
