You are so far, yet the audio is wonderful! We have been battling to get good audio and we have bought so many rode mics, and we still don't love any. The wireless give us so much trouble. We even sent them back to be fixed and we still have issues. So, we went back to the regular ones that goes on top of the camera. But we feel limited with those, especially when taking long distance shots. Wow! That sounds awesome! Thanks guys for the review on these, def worth to take a look at them!
To be honest the Lark Max sounds like there is something between you and the mic. Its a lot harder to unterstand your words in comparison to the rode. The rode is so clear and clean that it sounds more like a broadcast microfon. On the Lark tbe bass is better but it takes a lot of dynamic. For me it's better get more bass in post to prevent a lack of unterstandibility. I really tried a lot of microphone but till this day i couldn't find one with the same sound quality like the rode and this is the most important thing than usability and other things.
This is such an awesome review from you Aaron, it great to know the qualities of ones product before buying it so that we can have our moneys worth! That mic sounds good for a wireless one, I like the Lark Max more for sure!❤
Thank you for the informative video! Something I didn't get: is it possible to use other brands lavalier mic with these systems? Or I can only use the rode lavs with the rode wireless go etc?
I recently invested in the Fulaim X5 which sound better than the Rode Wireless to my ear and they are much smaller than the Lark Max making them easier to attach/hide and the deadcat is more secure. Also £100! I don’t know how they managed this.
Hi, thanks for the review.. can i use this in meetings to record minutes with approx 40-50 people sitting in U shape arrangement? Also is it compatible with zoom h8 voice recorder? Please advise.. thanks 😊🙏

Thanks for the review. One question. Can you separate the two audio tracks in editing?
Yes you can!
This comparison side by side is exactly what I needed, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

Seems like the perfect mic for the outdoors, with noise cancelation,...I need to spend more time on sound...great review!
I'm probably wrong, but it looks like you are somewhere in the New Forest? Perhaps near Ringwood? 😀That purple heather is always nice to walk along
Nice! How about the dji wireless mic, have you tried those?
Unfortunately not but I hear they are pretty great too!
Do you use any editing for the sound in this review or are we hearing the audio untouched?
Just a little bit of dynamics and volume adjustment.
Great review Aaron. Not sure who really needs to get sound from 200m away so agree the range is not so important. They do sound good.
Hearing them side by side I really prefer the lark max, sounds a bit more natural to me
Still rocking my rode video micro but if I ever need a wireless solution I'll defo look into these!

This one is absolutely nice 😊👏
I have hollyland lark m1 but now I wish I got this instead :(
I just bought this Lark Max duo, why the internal recording volume is very low when I import to FCPX?
Thank you Sir! 👌!!
Welcome 👍
I'm not sure, it looks great and sounds good but for me the rode sounded a bit better.
Rode all day.
Even though some of these other brands might sound better or be better value, I would still choose Rode because it's a brand I know and trust.
