But the bar looks as if it obscures vision/breathing, and gets clipped where you may have avoided a punch all together. FG-2900 is lighter and allows you to breathe. And the cheek protection looks thick enough to protect your nose and mouth from a direct jab. Not to mention what you brought up about the foam in both. FG-2900 just seems better all around.
When you get hit with the winning face saver do you feel the bar frame as well as the punch. I had a cheaper model and could feel the frame, it made the punches worse

Laser Sharp it’s decent , not as good as the fg5000 but good enough. You still feel straight shots no matter what but hopefully you can slip it before it comes !
I really have the problem, that the one with the noseprotection is just aweful when getting hit. Somehow it just slips everywhere and is really annoying
