Thompson's dive was well executed, but a habile puck puck handler would simply bring the puck back and then pass it. Thompson, when she pivoted, took a very quick look at Tapani and saw that she wasn't rushing to the goal. Thompson adjusted her play accordingly. Very good. Thompson deserved much credit for this turn around even is she created the Boston 2 against 1 when she lost the puck in Boston's zone.
