It's such a fitting line to be delivered to Daggett as well. Daggett's driving force as an antagonist in the animated series is power. Other villains want power, but they use that power to send their message and get their vengeance on Gotham. Daggett has the power already, but he is still willing to step on anybody that gets in his way just to get more power.

Every time I see the battle at the end, I can't stop thinking back when Tom Hardy says something like how he had never heard Christian Bale ever say he was tired, in all the months of shooting. So even though he (Tom) was exhausted, he kept going to keep up with Christian. So during that battle, when Christian said he was tired, Tom just said "me, too" and they just hugged each other lol

Bane. He was the first movie villain that I truly feared for the possibility of him being real. The Joker was haphazard, and though he was a chilling view in to the chaotic mind of insanity, he was not someone I could see wiping out a city or worse. Bane?...........yes. Utterly. Easily. A magnificently created character by Hardy. Loved him...compelling and locked my attention every second he was on screen. Loved Hathaway as Kyle. For every level of reason. @CinemaWins if you're wondering how Bruce made it back to Gotham the answer is somewhat simple, but the question is answered across the trilogy rather spelt out for audiences.
Basically before training with the League of Shadows, Bruce Wayne used criminal methods to travel the world (and also to understand the criminal mind) so it stands to reason he combined some of these methods with his League of Shadows training to make it back to Gotham.
As for how he got back into Gotham City itself, Bruce mentions that Wayne Manor is outside the city limits in The Dark Knight, and in Batman Begins, Alfred notes that their was a tunnel between Gotham City and the Batcave that the Underground Railroad utilized to offer slaves sanctuary at Wayne Manor, so it would make sense for Bruce to be able to access Wayne Manor without alerting the League, then use the tunnels to make it into Gotham.
So basically he either stowed away on a plane or stole a car in order to get back to Wayne Manor, then got his gear and followed the tunnel through to Gotham itself, which definitely seems possible in a 3 week span.

Yeah I've never really got this "issue" with the movie.
As said in the video "He's freaking Batman"
How does someone as intelligent and resourceful as Batman NOT get anywhere the hell he wants within 3 weeks?
      "He had no money"
Because Batman can't steal vehicles or sneak his way on to them, it's not like Batman has any stealth skills what so ever and no vehicles ever travel to the vicinity of Gotham.

My problem isn’t that Batman gets back in the city it’s that it just jumps to him being there. It was out of sync with the rest of the trilogy’s ability to show us Batman’s intellect. It would be like in Dark Knight if Fox introduces that Skyhook thing and bam the movie cut to Batman delivering that Chinese guy to GPD.
We missed out on what could have been an interesting story element.

No cartilage left pretty much anywhere on his skeleton from years of beating bad guys to a pulp with his bare hands. How he didn't let anything get in his way, he thought his way out of situations, and didn't take everything too seriously. Two-face scared me because of his appearance. But Bane terrified me in every way. I just feel like it'd be more relaxing to be in Joker's crew rather than Bane's. My opinion is not popular when it comes to Hathaway's Catwoman as I loved her in the role. Even more deep thinking than the Batman, almost on Bane's level. Mischievious, manipulative, and ultimately does act out of her heart and showing Batman how he can do the same. While Bane taught Bruce to strengthen his spirit, Selena taught him how to accept hope.

He fell down the well as a child and has always been there. His father rescued him with a rope, Harvey was his rope to leave Batman behind, Rachel was his rope to escape the fear of being alone. He finally drops the rope and jumps to freedom, embracing and owning the fear to the chants of 'rise', is one of the most emotionally charged scenes in this trilogy.", in regards to the rope metaphor is spot on! Great insight! And let's face it, while "The Dark Knight" was Heath Ledger's film, in "The Dark Knight Rises", the beautifully and talented Anne Hathaway is her's, she steals every scene she is in! :)

As iconic and important as Begins and TDK were, Rises is actually my favourite of the Nolan trilogy, in a similar way to Jedi being my favourite from the original Star Wars trilogy. TDK and ESB are clearly the better films, but the ones I love most are Rises and Jedi.
    - Begins/New Hope established their respective worlds and yet, while entertaining and fun, overshadowed by their sequels.
    - Dark Knight/Empire are clearly in the upper echelons of "Great Movies" and deservedly so. The villains have their time to shine and in counterpoint show us exactly why we love the heroes so much.
    - Rises/Jedi have the unenviable task of following a much beloved film while also trying to conclude their respective Act III. Yet, they also contain the most emotional weight and some of the best soundtrack moments of all. I have lost count of the number of times I have watched Rises and Jedi and still enjoy them thoroughly.

The point brought up at 7:24 about that performer kinda "diving" without looking like they were hit: A gun falls to the ground in the background around where that person stumbles and falls. I believe Batman threw the gun from one guy at the one who falls, but you couldnt see it because it was just slightly above frame.

As a Criminal Justice major, I love to look at this trilogy as a study on terrorism. People think terror is about fear, and they're not wrong, but there's also an aspect of political motivation: here it's anarchy.
These films also love to comment on resentment of the bourgeois, the ethics of vigilantism, the ethics of ignoring privacy for the greater good, how the public responds to a 9/11 styled incident, etc etc.

4:51 The thing about Superman is, no one actually expects him to have a secret identity. Because he flies around all the time, and wears no mask, then people don’t believe he even has a human identity, so they don’t even look. And even if they do, they probably assume he’s a celebrity or something. Not many people are gonna believe that the most powerful man on the Planet is really just some random Newspaper Columnist. There’s even an old comic where Lex Luther builds a machine to decipher Superman’s identity. It does just that, but he doesn’t believe it. He declares it broken and has it destroyed.

I didn't know anything about the tdk trilogy (or batman for that matter) I just watched rises, and it was an emotional rollercoaster. I later watched begins and tdk which was an even better experience. People are way too harsh on this film...

This is honestly my favorite of the Nolan Trilogy and my second favorite of every Batman Movie created (I will always have a soft spot for Keaton and Burton). The line "Do you feel in charge?" instantly made this movie iconic for me! Hathaway's Catwoman was fascinating to watch as she switches from frightened maid to devilishly sexy in a matter of seconds. The opening of the film is my second favorite superhero opening sequence (DP is just....it's hilarious!) and I rewatch that scene alone for inspiration or just to be in awe! I completely understand why everyone loves Dark Knight and Ledger's Joker which will never be topped, but Hardy as Bane just connected in a way I could never imagine a villain doing! This is all a matter of opinion and I hope people respect it as I will respect yours

In the original superman comics Lois was always trying to find out Supermans secret identity. Byrne got rid of that and said specifically that it didn't make sense to think a Super Powered alien would have a secret identity. He had the fortress of solitude and advanced Super kryptonian tech. Even without knowing those things specifically one would assume something similar. Without knowing his origins of being found and raised by the Kents, you'd have no reason to think there'd be a secret identity. And with him not bothering to cover his face, you'd definitely doubt it.

    • @Ironica82
      @Ironica82 5 лет назад +1

Also, don't forget some things that Clark does that would throw people off, like glasses, hunching over, acts clumsy, is a low level local reporter for a newspaper (how many of your local newspaper reporters do you know what they look like), and wears common clothes. In all honesty, Batman would have been easier to figure out than Superman (heck, Tim Drake actually did figure out Batman's identity and he was just a kid (grant it, though, he is, arguably, the best Robin)).

So I went out to get some McDonalds for Breakfast, I'm a very unsafe driver so along the way I pulled my phone out and went to youtube to find some music to soothe my sunday morning soul, I saw this and I literally screamed in excitement and joy and couldn't wait to get home to watch the video. It's a pointless story for the most part but it does detail how much I sincerely enjoy you and your videos. Seriously I've been addicted to binge watching your videos over and over, it's gotten to the point that when I watched Ragnorak in the cinema a few weeks ago as I was watching I was getting excited and hyped just thinking about how you were going to react to it. It kind of makes no sense but yeah, when I watch movies now I'm literally thinking about how you'd react and honestly it's made me enjoy movies so much more now. I'm a dude who spends an ungodly amount of time on youtube, and you are my favourite youtube channel, and I wish you could have subs in the millions, both for yourself and selfishly too. If you had 5M Subs, I'd get more vids and you'd get more well deserved fame and money.

I really enjoy this movie and have watched it a bunch of times. I will admit that the clip during the fight at 7:21 I never noticed the guy seemingly falling over without getting hit. However, I would like it mentioned that if you look at the shadows and what's lying on the ground as the camera pans up you can tell that that guy actually got hit in the face by the other guy's gun... So I don't think it's a choreography issue nor do I think it's worth a win off.
