By getting absorbed by the Juju, the Beta Kids are stucked in the story, but on a more metaphorical level. What if, for John, it was not as metaphorical as the others ? What if the hand is a representation of the God Tier John, stuck in the story ? There's the fact that the cake becomes BLUE when the mouse moves it (and the blue looks a lot like the blue from the Breath shirt). (I also have this headcannon that, by putting his hand for too long in the House Juju, John gained his Retcon power from the stucked John. It makes it some sort of Power Juju, AKA like a Juju [AKA an object without a specific start, mainly by being created by itself], but as a power. Fitting for a quite powerful yet specific power)
