I think it’s because Yunyun is still kinda using Megumin as a social crutch.
It makes more sense later on, but you can also attribute to her being a tsundere, proven in this clip.

Well that isn't that uncommon a trait among the Crimson Demons IIRC. They all have various quirks besides the ones they deliberately develop.

Bruh I miss the old konosuba
This is the closest you’ll get to ‘old’ Konosuba, because of when it was written (before the LN the movie adapted/book 5.) Main Konosuba, especially Season 3 (Books 6 & 7), will feel like a whole new series to some. The anime doesn’t even cover a third of the main series (17 books + Megumin’s two spin-off series, Dust Spin-off, Vanir Spin-off, and Fantastic Days Spin-off (LN of the Gacha.) It’s sort of like Araki with JoJo Part 7, where the author refined their style and is used in their other works, too, like Combatants Will be Dispatched!
