Ale casually killing the bassline while thinking about what she is having for dinner has me dead but Dany absolutely steals it here, her voice just fits this song so naturally. Alanis was clearly clairvoyant when she wrote this for Dany years before she was even born. 😇
This has been a The Warning fan favorite for years, Pretender by the Foo Fighters. Filmed back in 2017 I think. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/yjDkAnaTVVY/видео.html
They've been killing it since they first crawled out of the crib it seems.. I've been lucky enough to have found them from the very start. I haven't missed a performance for 11 years now 🌏✌️
Personally, I prefer this version over the original. Dany just kills it on vocals and Ale on bass is hypnotizing. Believe it or not it sounded even better played live on the French TV show Taratata. The proper term, according to Dany, is "Warnified" They warnified this song. Some of my favorite covers are their original 2014 Enter Sandman cover that kick started their career when it went viral and now has over 26 million views. Atlas Rise at the Whisky a Go Go Kickstart My Heart Resistance The Pretender (out of the basement)
@@TheLionsReaction Yes it did in that French tv version and Ale in that version changed the bass lines and it unbelievably sounds better, focus on Ale she does some killer lines
The bass in Alanis's original recording was played by Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), yet Ale just sits there and makes it look simple It's actually a great, and not so simple bass line and she executes it brilliantly. Anyway, as a bass player myself, that is my high light of their cover!!! ( There is a remix version of this which really does the bass more credit: ruclips.net/video/YW7EmLiH4z4/видео.html )
Everybody mentions Dany and Ale on this but Pau also did some slick moves with a brush. For me anyway, this is the first time I remember hearing her use a brush at all let alone switching from brush to stick to brush and back to a stick for the finish. I guess I would be more impressed with Ale but I have heard some of her warmup practices, she is a much better bass player than many understand.
Absolutely 3 of the most talented Rock Artists currently in habiting this planet!!! Thanks for upgrading this great song young Ladies, best I have ever heard!! Thanks to Lion for the great reaction, glad to have subbed this channel and nice to see how much you respect and love what these girls do. My favorite band without any doubts!!! This is one of Paulina's favorite songs.
Amazing cover all 3 were great Dany's vocals were spot on and while playing guitar it's impressive AF. Atlas Rise cover is pretty awesome. Check out Sharks from Po'land Rock off their new album they share lead vocals so you know it's gonna be next level OPEN THE PIT 🔥⚡⚡⚡
Subbed for your love of these Gals (who couldn't love them) AND, Putting them up on the big screen on the video! We love to see your reaction, but we Always want to see them.. 😅
Web cam doing great. Most of their covers, with a couple exceptions, were done when they were much younger before they started writing their own music, "Atlas Rise" in particular.
Another great reaction. You might now want to react to Automatic Sun by The Warning. Most folks like the performance at 2024 EMA's (MTV European Music Awards). It has an extended outro to die for.
Until this cover I thought their cover of Muse’s Resistance was their best. But this one - wow 🤯! In an interview on French TV (available on YT), Ale explained how she added to the bass line originally done by Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I enjoy The early years covers of Kickstart my heart /motley crew -crazy train/ozzy -were not gonna take it/twisted sister -and a special treat is the very first-God Gave Rock n roll to you /Kiss -The Warning are a very Special Band 🎶🤘
They did it again. This is the first cover they've done in a long time (except for Enter Sandman, which has become a staple of theirs.) Before this the last cover they did was another Metallica song, Atlas Rise. With only three people they did a spectacular job of it. There's no question you'd like it.
There is a double link with this recording to Taylor Hawkins.. Sadly, The Warning were the opening band the night that we lost Taylor.. and he was the drummer for Alanis on this track
They knocked it out of the park, as they do! Your new format looks great! If you want suggestions for another cover: Metallica's 'Atlas Rise' at the Whisky A Go Go in 2019 is amazing. They covered Motley Crue's 'Kickstart My Heart' in 2017. The most viewed version is in the Warning Cave though they also performed it live at several shows in those days.
@@TheLionsReaction her ‘fun practice sessions’ usually contain some bits of Jaco Pastorius , her Bass hero, explaining her making this look like a walk in the park!
My favorite covers done by The Warning were the OMV of their cover of The Pretender by the Foo Fighters and Atlas Rise by Metallica at the Whiskey A Gogo. You should definitely check out those but this one is definitely my favorite cover they've done now! ⚡🔥🤘
Covers are great but look into their early songwriting as it’s brilliant especially when you consider them being so young (1st two albums 21 century blood and Queen of the murder scene)Then dive into their last two albums (Error and Keep me fed). They did two Ted X performances ( I love the second performance the best because their song “Survive” is on it). If you want live performances or concerts I suggest their Teatro Metropolitan 2022 or the 2023 10th anniversary Pepsi center concert in Mexico City. Both concerts are amazing from production to performance! Above all if you want to get to know their backstory, watch videos on their history from when they were little until present day. It blows my mind how they started learning music and their instruments at such a young age and how laser focused they were even then. I’m a 47 year old male that found these amazing ladies back in October of 23’ and they have stolen my heart! I feel like a proud dad when I watch and listen them. They are my absolute favorite band but above all they are Kind, Humble and Love their Fans as we do them!
Awesome reaction my friend. This journey is amazing…they are so captivating in every sense of the word. … I’ve never experienced this with any other band….the best thing about it is that my wife and daughter are along for this magical ride as well. When they were releasing the Pepsi Center concert 1 song at a time (every other day) we all watched together,,,, it’s was amazing. When they finally released the entire concert…we had friends and family over and just like that instantaneous warning fans were born. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This is the first straight up cover they've done in YEARS and shocked all of us when SiriusXM posted it out of the blue. The Metallica re-make was a few years ago, and was requested by Metallica, and before that, I think maybe Metallica's Atlas Rise. The rest of their covers were from when they were young girls doing covers just having fun honing their craft before they started writing their own songs. At just 20 years old (19 for this session), Ale is a world class jazz bassist. As someone once said, she and Pau could walk into any lounge on Bourbon Street and jam with any band playing.
For me their other great covers are for Foo Fighters's The Pretender and Muse's Hysteria. The first has sn official video and the second has a high quality live performance at the Liceo. In both videos they were still children, Alejandra was only 11 in both cases. The Hysteria cover in particular is remarkable for how point she does a complex bass riffs flawlessly despite playing a bass guitar her size. That live performance was even used for Alejandra admission to a music course in an american music college.
The version they do of this song for Taratata shows that this wasn't a fluke, they truly know this song and kill it (not that we needed any more proof but always nice to see it again). Also I think in the behind the scenes for that Taratata show Dany says that it was Pau that decided the band was doing this song when they were looking at maybe a new cover. Good taste.
Queens of Rock. I was blown away the first time hearing this, I immediately went to hear Alanis Moressette to compare, it's been over 20 yrs since I last heard it, and yes, it's better, Dany has the anger voice down pat. Not even their genre and they nailed it. All 3 of them. Next, Choke. Vid if you want to analyze or Live.
If you want to see a spectacular, intense cover that is often overlooked by reactors, check out "Walk - Foo Fighters COVER by Dany" on their YT channel. It's Dany solo, and the amount of passion she puts into it is stunning.
Alanis wrote a great song. Dany sang it better. Sorry, it is what it is. Ale murders the bass line and Paulina is nothing but cool back there. Dany has matured so much vocally. She could not have pulled this off 2 years ago. Suggest "UGH" from the Metropolitan show. Fantastic musicianship. Pau shows a little bit of why she was Drumeo drummer of the year. Cover would be Atlas Rise at the Whiskey a go go. Poor 13 year old Ale after 2 hours is completely out of gas.
Thank you, I was thinking about redoing the video but I didnt want to ruin the real raw first time reaction. Plus, whole heartedly i was enjoying the music and having fun.... A true Real reaction
