Anyone that has to arrange a bunch of books behind them to make it look like they know what they're talking about probably doesn't have much to say. Does anyone think he's read any of them? Problem with precious metal YT channels is that they are all pumping the commodities. No real give and take about the pros and cons. It's an echo chamber.
Rosenberg is as far as you can get from being someone who "pumps precious metals" and he doesn't focus on commodities, he covers many different sectors.
I don't like bonds, but if you buy a short duration bond and hold to maturity, you will not lose money. Bond funds is where the risk is. They can go down.
But how can one trust any chart using FRNs as a unit of measure? Can we please measure in ounces? Then at least we’ll know we’re measuring the product of supply and demand without the inflation noise.

Geopolitics before Macro After World War II, to limit Soviet influence, the United States, as the world's strongest nation, promoted global trade by ensuring safe shipment of goods worldwide through its Navy. In exchange, trading partners used the U.S. dollar, which became the cornerstone of a new, highly successful globalized business model. Although initially a strategy to counter the Soviets, globalization continued after the Soviet collapse due to its mutual benefits. However, with increasing scrutiny on the U.S. and the USD-evident from Japan's attempts to challenge the reserve currency in the late 1980s, the EU's challenge during the 2008/09 financial crisis, and recent moves by BRICS nations and Saudi Arabia-the U.S. finds diminishing returns in acting as the global police. Maintaining security requires over 500 destroyers, while the U.S. has only about 70, primarily to protect its aircraft carriers. Globalization also led to the offshoring of U.S. industries, causing significant job losses in cities like Detroit. De-globalization could benefit the U.S. by bringing industries back home, reducing reliance on critical supplies from abroad, and shifting the burden of regional conflicts. As global investments flow into the stable U.S. economy, the country could remain strong while others might suffer from reduced global integration. Therefore, it may be in the U.S.'s interest to support de-globalization, accept more regional conflicts, and maintain higher interest rates.
The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent. That works both ways, up and down. Gotta get every last retail idiot in the game before the big money kicks off the flush down. Then they just sit back and watch the puts go up to the moon.
Rule 9- Fed cuts rates and long bond stays level or goes up? Bond vigilantes actually show up. Banks don’t make the same stupid mistake and lend long at low rates . No one talks about this factor.
Thus interview was a meh....I do not agree with intrest rate forecast. Bonds will break you should you not anticipate a new trend in increased rates. Just saying

He is a very smart guy. He doesn't miss it but he does dismiss it as very unlikely.

Have bonds not lost 45% from their top. How is there no loss risk for bonds?

@@misty671 thanks for explaining
This is correct, you can park cash in 3-month T-bills at essentially no risk.
But how can one trust any chart using FRNs as a unit of measure? Can we please measure in ounces? Then at least we’ll know we’re measuring the product of supply and demand without the inflation noise.
Anyone going out and buying canned tuna, shotguns and barbed wire is nuts. Should already have those on hand.

How well do options work during a stock market shut down or bank holiday?
I would love to see him and Luke Gromen debate the investing in long bonds at this point.
Luke wins. Gold and BTC will outperform bonds over the next decade.
@@misty671 I agree. I just want to see it recorded
@crcampbell2210 Rosy is a good economist, but he is from the establishment. His business serves traditional finance.
Any idea of when Fund Managers most likely to rebalance their portfolios in the next few months ?
People buying gold ain't going to see any of it... think the politicians will let it go to average people????
Being as early as Rosenberg is the same as being wrong
If your microphone obscures part of your face it is inappropriate for video use

Over the next 12-18 months the US 30 yr treasury bond could DOUBLE (100%)

You’re comment contradicts itself, I don’t think you know how bond yields and interest rates work
Mr. Rosenberg once joked that he would change his last name to Goldberg when this happens. Is he going through with this?
does it matter? both are the same in ehtnicity , LOL
Great interview! Love hearing from Rosie!
Glad you enjoyed it!
