not shocked the first car was a Ur Quattro Group A beast... many people died 'spectating' that uncontrollable monster (not that particular one maybe). also good to see some of the mid 90s rallye cars rippin' it up... especially favorites like the Renault Clio Williams & Megane Maxi F2!

i agree, i can see it being part of the atmosphere up to a certain point, like try not to stand right in the middle of the road, it's bad enough they are standing on the outside of corners, very full of people, nowhere to go should someone lose control, if the cars went that fast, i imagine how much faster they could have gone if it wasn't for some people being in their way.
In the 80´s people in Portugal went mad with group b rally they actually made bets to see who would stay for longer on the course when a rally car was coming.And then you know what happen....
Honestly i don't agree with all the "crazy fans" comments. We have made rally cars all the same, innovation is dictated by regulations, rallies are a lot shorter and much safer and the sport has become sterilized and people lost their interest. In general you can't have controled fun, and especially in motorsports this controled-safety oriented-enviromental friendly-proccessional racing era, the fun has become a missing factor. Maybe i'm getting old, but i can't enjoy like i used to the WRC rallies or F1 races. Only MotoGP somewhat stayed in the "correct path" for me. Hope things can change and become less controled and more unpredictable again.
After the jump there the two huge groups of people on both sides of the road not giving a mad F about their life....one mistake by driver or car fault of car after the jump...10 lives lost...
