Gun.Smoke in arcade was different, with different and extra bosses. First one was Master, a guy with a rifle, which in Nes version got turned to "Bandit Bill". Second one was Roy, a knife throwing bandit, which was skipped in Nes. Third one was Ninja, who wore his red suit and mask in the arcade, he was in Nes too but got changed in appearance. Fourth boss was Cutter, the master boomerang thrower, who got an appearance in Nes too. Fifth boss was a guy called Pig Joe, who specialized in throwing dynamites at you, no appearance in Nes. Sixth boss was the Comanche chief "Wolf Chief", armed with a shotgun instead of fireballs, who got renamed "Devil Hawk" in the Nes version. Seventh boss was a guy called "Goldsmith", who wielded double rifles, no appearance on Nes. Eight boss was a Mexican outlaw called "Los Pubro", a master pistol wielder, whos portrait was taken and rebranded as Wingate on Nes. Ninth boss was Fat Man, who used a machine gun instead of a bazooka, and got rebranded as "Fat Man Joe" on the Nes. Tenth boss was the Wingate Family, a father and his two sons, which in the Nes got turned into two brothers, who were the "Wingates" in that game.
A friend had & let me borrow this. The toughest part I couldn't get past was when enemies started coming from screen bottom. Thanks for uploading this, and the info about the different versions was eye opening. Talking about other versions, besides Capcom Classics Collection (PS2, Xbox). I got for my Sega Saturn an import Capcom (#4) which had Commando, Mercs, and Gunsmoke. The sound options had original or remix. Remix was loud & was the one I liked.
True I wanted to at least mention them and that is the easy way to get through the game I think buying the wanted posters allowed me to play the game longer and makes the game much more a challenge to stay alive and earn that much money.
23:30 Ninjas, Damn. (kudos to anyone that gets that recent reference) And, man, so, you spend, say, $50,000 for a wanted poster to collect a $12,000 bounty. I think I want to be a merchant in this town.

thanks for all your videos. brings back alot of memories!!! gunsmoke was one of my favorites. i hated level 3. always had trouble beating it
Ahh! LOVED this game as a kid! Thanks for this, 'shaq!! :)
AWWW! I wanted a cowboy hat on the corn guy during the opening!
Nice Trigun reference there, sad the ps2 game based on the anime never got a release, be fun to see ya do that one.
Wow! A ninja in a western game. I've seen it all, now.
lol yep the indiana jones type game in Action 52 was called Billy Bob.
It doesn’t look like he’s riding a horse. He just looks like a bow legged cowboy
Also, the blue yashishi gives you invincibility and lets you mow down enemies by touching them!
This game could have been made into a great licensed game in The Rifleman. Either way, it's a fantastic game.
Man this game was so tricky to get through! Question, what does the horse skull item do, if anything?

That's quite the array of guns they had in 1849.
Forgot to mention that the cow skull will actually degrade your normal weapon range and walking speed.
It's Gun Dot Smoke. But whatevs. Loved this game.
Great job on playing another classic. Any chance on doing wizards and warriors? :)
Why didn't you ever go for the hidden wanted posters? You could've saved a lot of money.
I am terrible at this game.
