Then it just became "okay, how many cliches can we fit in before the last episode"? Vincenzo carried the same plot lines from beginning to end, and managed to be dramatic and funny on top of it. An infinitely better drama.

Agree!! So hard to find well-written and well-performed stories. This was one of the best along with Crash Landing on You. This year, June 2024, Legend of Shen Li is the only series that I have enjoyed because it has all the elements I like. Romance, comedy, well-written and performed without cringy cliches.

I'm so glad there are people who noticed all these little signs of affection here and there. Many say that their romance seems forced but I don't think so. They may have only had 2 kisses and a few hugs altogether but there are actually lots of times they showed tenderness towards each other in seemingly casual moments. And all these little moments add to their chemistry and make it more natural and believable than in most series with direct romantic scenes. This is why people call them a married couple. Because they don't actually need words and unnecessary drama to express their feelings

Lol i really want to said this. This is not a drama that you will see the male lead grabbing the female lead in hand and do inappropriate without her consent instead letting her do what she wants and he will just smile silently. Also he respect her, seeing vincenzo do little gentle things to her like holding her bag, fanning her after dancing, and giving flowers but not staring at her, thats really heartwarming gestures and even they didnt even have that much romantic scene this is enough to make my heart flutter because i love those gestures even more.
