      Pfft, I do NOT agree. It’s all in how they are raised and bred. The best dog I ever had was a Pit Bull. She was so gentle around both my kids. My Chihuahua was way meaner. You only hear about Pit Bull attacks because those are the only ones recorded. Pit Bull’s were originally called “Nanny Dogs” way back in the day because they were used for babysitting kids while the parents worked. Every dog is capable of attacking. Pit Bull’s are just the only breed people worry about and talk about.

    Pit Bull attacks seem to be the only breed that is recorded, so that’s why they have the “most” attacks on humans. When someone is attacked by a Chihuahua, you don’t hear that on the news, and it happens a lot more than you think. Chihuahuas are actually way meaner than Pit Bulls. It’s all in how they are raised and bred. My Pit Bull was NEVER caged. She had free roam of the house. She was allowed on the bed and couch. She loved my kids and she was there before they were. I was NEVER worried about her being alone with them. They could tug at her ears and she would do nothing. If she got annoyed, she moved. She was always around people and she was never starved or hit. She was trained very well and never bit anyone in all of her 7 years of life before cancer took her. So, I’m sorry this happened to this girl, but don’t just punish the breed. Punish the owner. I was attacked by a Husky. He took a chunk right out of my leg. I chose not to have him taken away from his home and killed and I was 12 when that happened. This dog was always on a chain outside. He got off one day and got me. It was the owner’s fault in my eyes.

    A pit bull came after me when I was walking my bull Mastiff. It was coming with full attack intentions! In one swift move my dog jumped 10 feet and pinned it by the neck and held it there until the owner came and I gave Kobe the release command. It scared me so bad, what if it had been a child without a Kobe to protect them? Now Kobe tries to attack any dog if it gets near me... Which is sad. He's fine and loved the dog park but I can't take him as he's become too protective... Now who's fault is that? I'm just thankful my best buddy was with me!

    Different breeds of dogs have different temperaments. That's why we use certain breeds as guard dogs. Pitbulls are one of the more aggressive breeds and if they are not raised properly can be very dangerous. Most of the attacks on people are from negligent owners who have no business owning the animals.

    • @McNasty43
      @McNasty43 7 месяцев назад +1

      A lot of that aggression has been bred out, especially if you go with a reputable breeder. There's a lot of these dogs that are trained as attack dogs, and those should be avoided at all cost, along with those designer bully breeds, who have horrendous health problems. They do still have a high prey drive and higher levels of dog-aggression, so early training and socialization is key.

    I was attacked by a pitbull last week. Completely unprovoked and out of nowhere. My dad and I had just returned from a walk. He had spine surgery 2 weeks prior...so we walk every day to strengthen his back and spine. We returned and walked into the yard (fully fenced) we said hello to the neighbors and kept walking. Their pitbull shoved it's way under the fence and had bitten my dad before I had even realized what had happened. Once it clicked I jumped in front of my dad....putting myself between him and the dog as a buffer. I would do anything to make sure he didn't reinjure his back/spine. I took a heck of a beating. I have a deep bite mark on my inner thigh and one on the heel of my hand. I'm just so thankful it was me and not a small child or animal. Let me just say that it could have been any breed. I LOVE and ADORE pitbulls. They are a deeply misunderstood breed with a nasty stigma. I've had pitbulls as pets and they've been the most incredible pets. My love for them will never change..... I'm just very much aware of ALL dogs now. My dad and I have 2 more shots in the rabies series then we're done. It's been a "ride" to say the least. Sending lots of love and healing vibes your way

    • @Wicked_Trojan
      @Wicked_Trojan 7 месяцев назад +4

      Statistically they’re not sweet dogs. I love how either anything else that has a high statistical rate of death or injury it’s labeled “dangerous,” with the sole exception of pit bulls. Then it’s “don’t blame the dog,” or “it’s not fair to the dog,” or “pit bulls are the sweetest dogs, it’s just the owners.” Yeah, it’s not even close. In my city a guy was recently attacked and killed by his own pit bulls while walking them through a parking lot. They could be the sweetest dogs 99.999% of the time, but any little random thing beyond the owner’s control could set them off for any reason and it’s game over. Not worth the risk.

    • @McNasty43
      @McNasty43 7 месяцев назад

      The statistics are misleading. You're far more likely to be attacked by a Chihuahua than the average Pit Bull, those yes the Chihuahua is obviously not going to do anywhere near the same damage. And other breeds are often misidentified as Pit Bulls. Hell, even people who LOVE Pit Bulls don't even know what constitutes an American Pit Bull Terrier. Once they start talking about "red nose" or "blue nose" like it actually means something, move on. Responsibly bred Pit Bulls that haven't had a bunch of other breeds mixed in to achieve a certain look are a joy. Once you start getting into backyard bred "designer" breeds, that's where everything goes wrong. Another thing people don't realize is that dogs feed off their families energy. If you have a loud house where people are constantly yelling and there's a high level of tension or stress or noise, your dog is going to reflect that. And oftentimes, those are the kinds of homes that Pit Bulls end up in. @@Wicked_Trojan

    People get these dogs, and treat them too softly.
    They have to know who is boss. They already have a bass mentality. So you have to make it known that you run shit. Otherwise this is the result.
    Not to mention pits are meant to protect, and guard. These aren’t family dogs.

      Caucasian Shepherd, Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino, American Akita. Pit bulls just get all the publicity for dog attacks, and other breeds are often incorrectly identified as Pit bulls. Cane Corso, ESPECIALLY Dogo Argentino, and Mastiffs are very often misidentified as Pit Bulls. There are only 3 actual pit bull breeds. The American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. People tend to identify any stocky dog with short hair and cropped ears as a pit bull. @@CaptainCreature

    The slander on pitbulls is unreal. For starters if you don’t balance the amount of discipline and love in any dog regardless of breed your “dangerous dog” is 100% your fault. Second, pitbulls often get misidentified for other breeds and statistics show that they’re the second most tolerant species, first being retrievers, third a lot of pitbulls used for dog fights have even been rehabilitated into becoming therapy dogs. And finally after being a courier for about 4 years I’ve never had a bad experience with any bully breeds. Worse case scenario they’re claws scratch my arm when they jump up and lick my face but they don’t mean to cause harm. So call pitbulls monsters all you want but that makes their owners Dr Frankenstein

      I've found that dogs respond to their environment in ways that a lot of people don't consider. Like if your family is loud, argumentative, or generally rambunctious, this makes for a high-energy and/or stressful environment for a dog. If their environment is unpredictable, then they will be too. If you have a calm and peaceful environment for them, then they'll mimic that energy. If you have an argumentative family, the dog is going to respond to that air of increased tension and stress, even if the dog itself is well trained, well socialized, and well cared for. It affects us too, but we adapt and internalize to the point where it seems normal. Just like having kids, being a responsible dog owner means creating an environment they can thrive in, in addition to training, education, and their physical well being. As for the Pit Bull slander, even people who like/own Pit Bulls oftentimes don't know what constitutes a Pit Bull. All the mixed Bully breeds, pocket pits, and dogs trained to be attack/personal protection animals aren't helping the situation either.

      Bruh the amount of mental gymnastics pitbull owners go through to justify owning these murder hounds. If your pet can beat you in a fight, it shouldn't be a pet. Simply the possibility of not being able to control the animal is too risky, especially when they put other people in danger.

      @@HeWhoMurksWithOneLeap True any animal can be dangerous.Even ourselves are a danger to ourselves and others.
      Plus idk why they put down or kill dogs when they bite while humans who kill other animals and other humans as well only get jailed as punishment
