The supra 2021+ really makes good power, pulls hard. Crazy how it keeps up with the GT without a tune. Can't wait for it to get a manual next model year. The look is really growing on me.
I forgot where I heard it but the Supra’s don’t make any extra power with bolt on’s unless there is a tune with it, the ecu would just recognize it as stock. So if you do bolts on, do a tune for the power you’re looking for
At 2:22 he tries to downshift to 1st and the car corrects/prevents him from doing so indicating a preemptive downshift that wouldn’t be optimal for the maintenance and longevity of the motor…..from someone “daily driving a manual for the past 6 years”…..might wanna do a few more years learning shift points lol but still a beautiful machine. I just noticed something and brought it to light. Good vid!
The results were not surprising . My stock 14 auto gt beat a 2020 supra on a roll ..but I think I would have an issue with 2021+ supras ..and maybe a tie now that I'm tuned ..but 2018+ a10s should beat 2020 a90 bad ...and even 2021+ a91s stock easily

Supra will feel and drive more premium. The mustang is more spacious and has the v8 sound. Looks are subjective. Both great choices, I’d say mustang if you want to save money, in both purchase price and cost to own, Supra if you plan on spending over 50k
the supras are so sweet. I bought an M4 before they came out. Only bone I have to pick with the supras is the interiors aren't as nice as fully fledged BMW's.
I didn't know how long it would be though before someone was able to jailbreak the ecu so it could be tuned, and didn't want to deal with passing smog for the meantime. I went with an activeautowerk catted downpipe, which uses a gsport high flow cat. They're able to flow and support up to 800hp.
@@mynameisjohnlu I'm going to be getting the ecu unlocked and tuned by July, then we'll be having our rematch race. I'll enjoy it for awhile, then my next step will most likely be the pure 800 turbo upgrade
It wouldn’t let me. I would’ve had to slow down to 40, drop it in 2nd, then speed back up to 50. I noticed that too but I just said screw it, and did it in 3rd 😂
Look at that BMW go!!!! 2023 supra manual on it way should have waited When you get the tune on E50 or E85 it will be a wrap for the mustang but great races
@@kingvega666 that's still just a tune vs full bolt on mods. If both got new turbos and both made 800hp, the Supra will walk the mustang because it's so light. Stock vs Stock they are very close
@@ChaperoneKnight The Supra only weighs 400 pounds more. Plus a DOHC V8 will have a better power band than the B58 I6 will. 5.0 V8s rev very high for what they are. lol
@@trentmclellan1037 because of the peaky engine if the 5.0 plus the 10 speed transmission makes it a really strong car for role racing. A supra should beat a manual though.

Extremely fun runs. The 10 speed auto in the mustang is no joke! We will definitely go for round 2 when I get my car tuned for these bolt-ons.

The Supra really opens up with a tune, but the same could be said with headers, E85, and tune from the coyote. Both well matched cars

I pretty much just did all the bolt ons first so the car would be ready to accept the tune.

Do you run drag strip mode and turn off traction for roll races ?
90% of the time I do. I might’ve experimented with a different drive mode on one of the runs but drag strip traction off is normally what I do

I said the same thing when we rematched with me on race gas. Took it by 2 car lengths. We're having a 3rd rematch with him on e85, and me on race gas
