Honestly girls, I can’t tell you how you have brought my faith up to a new level despite being a lifelong Christian. I had the love always but I didn’t have the discipline or the peace. I am now reading the Bible everyday all the time. As Ari said so well, it’s like medicine! I pray for you both all the time- this is hard work you are doing. But then all things are easy through Christ, right? Give everything that seems too hard to the Lord. He fed 5000 people without batting an eyelash. Love you both!

Ang & Ari, I've been binging your channel for 13 days now. Going through a challenging breakup and your guys' words always resonate with me so much. The raw emotions you guys show us, your realness. I'm so appreciative of your platform and your love for God. It's helped change my mindset with my situation and has brought me closer to Jesus. THANK YOU
God allows us to go through seasons of anxiety and depression to grow us from where we were; to heal us of our past bondage-it’s rarely instant. For most people it takes a while to heal. I was one of them-and to become a testimony for everyone also suffering from the same things; to watch as we go through these difficult seasons and how we navigate through them. What hope do the lost have when they’re watching Christians living seemingly perfect lives when they themselves are still suffering and don’t know why?
It’s powerful to be real, honest, and raw. You’re allowing others to be as vulnerable as you are being, and are allowing them to grow and heal with you along your journey.
But I also agree it’s a choice to have happiness. Joy comes from the lord, but daily gratitude I’ve noticed helps with happiness and with everything you currently have, even though you want more. As humans, we will always want more. So when will we stop and say that we’re thankful for everything we currently have, knowing that God will bring us everything else we want in his perfect timing?
But at the same time. It’s important to come before God completely honest. Anytime I’m feeling incredibly anxious, depressed, or any powerful negative emotion, I go out to hike alone in Nature or take late night walks around my neighborhood to pray and talk to God honestly how I feel.
I’ve cursed at God. I’ve cried to God. I’ve pleaded. I’ve rested silently for an hour being in his presence and listening to anything he might tell me.
Come to God as you are, exactly as you’re feeling. Let go of the pressure of how you think you need to be. God sees right through you, so come at him as you are and how you feel. The more time you spend with him like this, the more he’ll bring you to where he wants you to be.
You’re not alone on your journey to anxiety and depression. My whole family suffers from one or both very intensely. I’ve stated my history with this as well.
You’re also not alone in waiting anxiously for that special someone. I’ve been waiting my whole life for this person. I’ve never been in a official relationship before because I’ve always had this dream in my heart of waiting for that special girl who loves God and I know is God’s best for me. To this day, I’ve never met any girl in person that I had thought about seriously entering a relationship with. That’s not to say I haven’t grown impatient or lost faith about ever finding someone and so have started fooling around casually without ever committing to anyone. But doing that started making me not expecting God’s best for my life anymore. It became more of an almost “desperate” desire to find someone period at that time.
But thankfully, God healed me from that season and brought me back on track of waiting and expecting his best for my life. I’m doing this not only for me, but for her as well. Because she is waiting on me, too. I have to prepare to be better now so that when we meet in person I will be the person that she’s been waiting for and praying for. I want to become God’s best that she has been praying for.
Love is real. True love is real. Romance is still real and alive in today’s world, but only if you let God tell your story. Let him tell your story of love, because I guarantee that he will tell a much more romantic story of love than you could ever tell yourself. I’ve chosen horribly in the past but I know more than ever before now that if I stick to waiting and preparing, God’s best for me will arrive and will be more than anything I’ve ever dreamed. ❤️❤️❤️

This morning while I was praying I started to sing this song I wrote a while back called, “the joy of the Lord,” so it is extra sweet that the Lord put this on your heart to share with us today 🥹♥️

Ari, be you. A lot of people in the church world don't particularly know how to make you feel comfortable so you can be you. Especially assertive people who act like they are authority and power. Remember you don't need anyone to tell you, you have the Holy Spirit.

As a single Christian man I was just studying Joy myself yesterday!
This was my word. I haven’t tuned in, in a few months and when I came to the channel I just clicked on the first episode I saw….posted 5 hours ago and what my heart needed. We serve an on time God.
We really do! I've been unhappy at my current job for a while and I have been trying to look on my own for somewhere else with no luck. I started praying for God to open a door if it was His will and within 24 hours a friend connected me with an amazing small business owner who's hired me! He only wants the best for us and His timing is perfect, not ours🥰

Out of all of your podcasts, this one has impacted me the most. I grew up in a household where, if I was joyful and perfect, I received love. But if I didn’t have the capacity to be that version of myself, the love was taken away from me. As a Christian, we are told that we should always walk in joy, and that if we don’t have it, our faith isn’t strong enough. I go through these seasons where I don’t have joy, and I started to believe that Jesus is mad at me and will take his love from me. I start to believe like I was the only Christian that felt this way. Thank you guys so much for reminding me that I’m not alone ❤

IN THE LORD - THAT I believe is what The Joy of the Lord is; rejoicing in Him, in who HE IS, in ALL He has done and will do. I discovered something earlier in my walk with Him when I was first entering adulthood and started understanding what my faith, what my life was really all about. And it was that whenever I would start praising Him in prayer I would almost immediately start crying, but with tears of joy!? And it happens every time! It’s like my spirit, my body is saying this is what I was created for. Nothing on earth compares to that feeling. NOTHING.

My mother-in-law passed away a year on this day and i asked God to help me get through this day because regardless of how much ive healed this past year the day still feels heavy but now its gotten a lot lighter PRAISE GOD for JOY!!! Thank you for this message.
This is so real, I was reading about thoughts because I struggle with the same thing. We need to recognize that that not all of thoughts are our own. Just because a thought is loud doesn't mean it's true. Your mind is like a house. Thoughts are like people knocking in your door. You need to choose which people to let in, aka which thoughts to let in. 🫶🏻we need to replace lies with the truth & remember Jeremiah 29:11 "He will never leave you & has plans for you".

hey i need help understanding this. i've had a lot of loud thoughts in my head that don't feel like me. (for context, i've asked a therapist about this and it's normal, not anything clinical). it's been so scary because i don't know which of the voices in my head are me, or god. i only know that once they clear and i feel at peace and silent, and present, i feel like myself again, and i find god in the peace.
Wow! These past couple years have been a sanctification process for me. God has been cleaning me out like the temple. It has been so hard. Now I am newly pregnant with my 3rd child and I really felt it when God said to you, you have suffered enough, this is your season of joy. It has been so hard being pruned and prepared but I think now God has given me this gift of another child and this is supposed to be a season of joy!
This episode woke me up to my season with no joy it has been months months and months I did not realize thank you for sharing your truth I felt joy come back into me thank you GGB and Jesus ❤❤❤

I cannot thank you enough for this episode, I have been struggling with this EXACT thing that you have been talking about for the first 30 mins of the ep. Being radically saved and thrown into public ministry not even a year into this walk is such a blessing, but such a struggle too, I felt like I was going crazy. This comforted me so much. ❤

Angela and Ari, I have been watching almost all of your videos. Your channel literally appeared on my RUclips through divine algorithm since the first episode. I vividly remember Angela in one of the episodes speaking of jumping from a balcony. I, myself, have suffered the same condemnation of that depression. This episode is so amazing. Thank and praise the Lord. I have been through a season of suffering myself and now I feel so much joy (through you guys too of course). Thank you for your love, care, and ministry. Hi girls, please let me try to uplift you once since you’ve helped me so much many times. Honestly I feel that you are even more joyful than at the start: of course we can’t see what’s behind the scenes in your everyday life struggles, but in my opinion you’re vibrating more joy now than before and is one of the signals of the change you have experienced this year, which is tangible, even through RUclips.
Personally, I think you seem one of the most (authentically) joyful persons I have seen\known in my life, and my theory on joy is this: only the ones who suffers and go suffering can really experience joy, because otherwise is fake, it’s avoidance … sorry for being so personal, but your videos have been so uplifting to me that I wanted to give something back. I’ve been reading through the book of Revelation for the first time and it has been very heavy on me-very bittersweet-and I have lost my joy since starting it, but that is the enemy trying to kill steal and destroy and I’m fighting against it in the name of Jesus! The verse from Psalms you shared, “For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime” made me pause the video and cry and praise Jesus. I needed that. Love you GGB sisters ❤

Oh wow! God speaks so clearly. That verse: Nehemiah 8:10 was on my heart early this morning and I meditated on it and even put it as wallpaper on my phone. This always happens when the Lord wants speak into our lives.
Same sisters, my Joy doesn’t stem from places it once did. The more I expand my mind and devote myself to God the more rooted my Joy is from the righteous works pertaining the salvation of every soul I can introduce to Gods love, Jesus righteous principles. Acknowledging how impactful magnifying Jesus is and witnessing how a beautiful beings life is Altered through Jesus gives me great Joy. Joy now stems from spirit lead acts not worldly acts.

I heard you say that you are noticing less deep laughter as you’ve progressed through the months, and I have to say it’s still there. We see it. Just a few episodes back it was nearly 5 minutes of you two cackling over nothing 🥲🫶
You have so much to balance, that perhaps the weight of other metaphorical “buckets” are feeling heavier, but your joy bucket is still full, just perhaps not overflowing like the others.
Reframing your mindset around this will keep the joy more forward to hopefully balance this for you both.

what stands out in the quote from Nehemiah is that the people had JOY because they heard the Words of God and understood them, resulting in their strength. Remember they sat for half a day listening to the words of God. That is the zeal we need for God's Word which is full of Joy today.

All of you have parents that brought along selflessly. That love is from our Father. Give you parents a hug and tell them thank you for their hard work . I know many would do it for our Father if we can. The heart pours out the well that Jesus gave you. Remember who loves you. This world has much cold in it. We all need be loved. Thank you Father.

Ari and ang, i needed this episode so much. Last week I was feeling so heavy the lack of joy because of all the healing and pain I have been going through, but then I remembered James 1:2-4. That stirred up a heart of joy. Also, I believe the Lord gifted me this episode. So thank you❤
Although the enemy may be sending attacks on you ladies the Lord is using your humility and honesty on this topic to bless me tremendously and know that I’m not alone in dealing with this. THANKS for doing this episode on JOY!! It reminds me of what my mom taught me. She says it this way..... get on your happy horse...which is all about JOY. When you think of the truth of what Jesus did for us.... the victory, the peace, the acceptance.... being in Jesus....being raised in Jesus and being at the right hand of the Father in Jesus, its difficult to be sorrowful for my self and the joy start bubbling up....But It also means remember to enter the rest....It's Christ in us which is the hope of Glory. All the pressure to perform is gone when I get on my happy horse.... so silly like mom's can be but she does know how to talk to her son... haha So Again all your sharing regarding joy...I so needed this reminder.... huge!! thanks!!!

❤ I never miss a episode. I was that lost son , who came home. Last August just around the time you girls started the podcast. I feel n known exactly what you meant when you said you didn't laugh when others did. It's almost like our eyes are open, we see things different. Idk, .... but then both said to live in joy! Yes live in the moment . Stress is a illegal look into the future. Anxiety is us looking at the past.

I just love listening to you as you generate such love and joy. You are blessed with being your authentic vulnerable selves. Your passion and love for Jesus wow it’s really very beautiful. Jesus is so very proud of you and as you are (in these times) new Apostles it is an honour to listen to you at Jesus Christ table. The fact you didn’t know what a Deacon was is just is wonderful as you spread His message in everyday moments. I was baptized this past June at my family's non-denominational church. Now I'm enrolled in RCIA at my local Catholic Church ❤
I have some questions regarding Protestantism v. Catholicism still, but you 2 remind me all it really comes down to in the end is if you walk with Jesus or not ❤
There's always been something about the Catholic church that has drawn me in. Please pray for my discernment✝️
The Catholic Church preserved, compiled, translated, chose the books to include and declared the Bible canon in 382 under Pope Damasus at the Council of Rome. Jesus didn’t leave us a Bible but He did leave us a church (Matthew 16:18). Every Catholic essentially reads the entire bible (OT & NT) every 5yrs at Sunday Mass.

so grateful for what you shared, Angela, about worship and striving; I didn’t know how to describe what I was feeling/ struggling with during worship, but that’s it! So, I want to come here to ask for prayer regarding my mind and worship. i have felt like this for basically my entire relationship with Jesus, in only worship.. i find myself striving, trying to focus on God's love, trying to get myself to a point where i feel like im truly worshipping and loving Him. i end up feeling so guilty about it, questioning if im doing it correctly and simply just craving that worship that i see those around me experience. when i hear people talk about worship, it’s so clear that im not experiencing what they are. I do assume it’s unique, but when I do, I feel consumed in my mind more than I do in anything else, and it’s confusing. i leave worship feeling so in my head. i want to worship because i want to give Him praise and i truly just want to love Him. but i don’t know how to get out of my head. i’ve prayed heavily about this but after hearing what you said angela it’s just confirmed to me that it’s not what worship should be, striving, i mean. i was just starting to assume that that’s just what it is. (I do, however, want to acknowledge that some days are better than others and that I have seen breakthroughs in this area, and it’s gotten better!) i want to worship freely so badly. love you guys! and thank you so much angela for sharing this🤍 it’s made me feel so much better about this. thank you !!!!!

As a brother in Christ understand that the Church (the body and bride of Christ) all go through the same things so we also understand and help each other through this earthly life....That being said, Fear is just Faith in the wrong direction.. Fear in the problem instead of Faith in the Promise. And With Repentance that kind of is like us going back to the Garden... before the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil... before we became self conscious (or realized we were naked) ... and what happens is it hurts going back because we have to Change. God put a guardian cherabim outside the Garden with a flaming sword... so in order to repent and reenter... things need to be cut off , and forgiven... so the more somethings have to be burned off the more it may hurt... But He who is forgiven much also loves much... and gold is refined in the fire... Christ is the Door to all of this and the Holy Spirit helps guide us through this earthly Life... sorry if that was a lot but God is just so Cool and Love is so powerful. 🤍✝️🕊️

Wow, you both truly have just expressed how I’ve been feeling for the past 6 months… it’s caused me to backslide and I am having a hard time pulling out of it. I bought tickets to see your show because you have helped me so much with your vulnerability and courage to walk by His will regardless of what’s going on around you, how you’re feeling, all the above that makes someone bend. Don’t get discouraged I would’ve never known you two have been struggling with your joy because you have His joy with you always! You’ve encouraged me to keep holding on 🤍

I met Jesus a year ago and I can totally relate to when you girls agreed on not laughing the same, feeling awkward etc. There is a heaviness and seriousness when it comes to this revelation. You are in a sense, mourning your old self while honoring and loving who you are becoming through the blood of Christ. It is serious, sometimes not laughable and painful. Love you girls may God continue to use you both as his vessel. 👯♀️

You don't have to know what a deacon is. But if you're going to be in this spiritual arena it would help. Called is not the equivalent to equipped. But I respect how serious you guys are about this. It's inspiring.
i recently have come with a sense of peace in my life and it makes me feel like things aren’t going how they should but this is exactly what i’ve prayed for and god is giving me the joy of being able to go through things with peace. not everything has to be go go go, i definitely needed to hear this🫶🏻

I've reflected on joy at different stages in my life. Recently, I've realized that joy has different forms but is rooted ultimately in a portion of our soul that is child like. Joy in a since is the recognition that the gift of "time" from God is so enjoyable and precious that even in the darkest days, weeks, or years, we can still recognize joy and hold it deep within us even if it's not visibly seen. Joy and love are also deeply connected. I love, therefore I live with joy in my soul. I cherish the gift of time and life that God has given me. Therefore, an abundance of joy is part of me, and that is a gift from the Lord that I thank him for
