The 1960 VALIANT was NOT originally a PLYMOUTH. it was originally a SEPARATE MAKE OF CAR. It didn’t officially become a PLYMOUTH until the 1961 model year😊
I would agree to two, people were put off at the time, by the valiant, but came to appreciate it's innovation, and the slant six is a great engine design.
The VALIANT??? Are you serious? MILLIONS sold between 1959 and 1976!! Many went 200,000 to 300,000 miles, some much more. In a time when few cars ever saw 100,000 miles. Sold around the world in the hundreds of thousands on nearly every continent. The Edsel was a LUXURY car introduced at the beginning of a mini recession. Poor timing, different styling but NOT a terrible car. The Dart in all its variants ONLY went on for a couple of decades and sold millions of copies which are valued by collectors still today. WHO WRITES THIS STUFF?
Your front page non excistent car AI picture either gives away complete unknowledge about 1960s cars or you use it as a shitty clickbait to lure people in. either way I dont even bother to open and watch this. You set the bar for rubbish with that picture.
The 58 Edsal was the best of the three years it was produced, despite its quirky front end. By 1960 Ford was afraid to take any further risks, so they resorted to taking the Ford body and tweeked it just enough to call it an Edsal. It was the worst of all three. The change in design leadership at Chrysler resulted in a whole lot of peculiar looking offerings until 1963. I can't understand how they could call a Dart a mid-sized car. The Valient platform represented that size. As for the Valient, that 1960 body style has a couple of memories that make me have a soft spot in my heart for it. It was so ugly it was cute. As for performance and durability, I must defer to those who had one.
My 60 Valiant was one of the best cars I ever owned. It was reliable, fun to drive and cheap. BTW, in 1960 it came out as a stand alone model. Wasn't until later in the year it became Plymouth.
So a car that technically never saw the '60's ( the Edsel ceased production in Nov. '59) was one of the worst cars of the '60's? Who's responsible for this trash?
Once again you prove that fake AI with biased, false information only leads to a horrible video. Click bait is becoming rampant on You Tube. You lead the movement. Please take down your channel. It is worthless and sets the history of automobiles back decades.
I remember the Edsel. I didn't think it was so bad. For some reason it got a bad rep early on and then everybody started piling on and criticizing it.
People were and are sheep.
The Ranger was the Edsel. The 1960 Edsel styling was borrowed from the 1960 Ford Fairlane.
I also remember the Valiant. it was a cool looking car.
I think the Valiant HIT the mark Well . And the Slant Six made it very reliable
THE EDSEL LOOKS BEAUTIFUL TODAY!!!

Total fools who know nothing about classic American vehicles.
Absolutely correct! Dart/Valiant were amazing cars; the slant six was bulletproof. Who writes this? Commie idiots.
The Dart has the same fins as the 59 Mercury Monterrey.

One reason why the Edsel had poor build quality was that assembly line workers were vindictive towards Edsel Ford.
This car Edsel, was a disaster. Workshop job from beginning to end.
I'm not sure there were any good cars in the White early 60s. 50,000 miles was about all you were going to get, before problems really surfaced.

They all look better than the TA Torana.

Ford ranger no no it was close to the galaxy 500
The Edsel couldn't have been too much of a failure. Still being talked about and collected 60+ years later.
Off putting

Garbage. Nothing interesting here.
2 out of 3 ain't bad. But I would love a pristine Valiant for my Man Cave, I wouldn't be foolish enough to drive it.
