@Elver Galarga It isn't about the size of the channel. You obviously have to reach ypp requirements, then from there, it is all about views and cpm. The threshold is $100. I was making that just over a month. So every two months I was getting a payout. I did close to $1000 before the forest video. Then my best video was taking off. I would have made thousands more off just the content I had at that point.

Congrats on your accomplishment Luke's Vlog. I wouldn't dwell to much on the lowering the requirements as the Adsense requires the same requirements as before. Hopefully one day I will reach the monitization of adsense.

I just apply last 1 week ago because already reach 1+k sub in 1 month, i got reject it and need re apply back at 28 July just in 1 month later for re apply
This is going to be confusing for a lot of people but I think this is huge step in the right direction . A lot of creators have built up good communities but haven’t been able to reach the threshold and their viewers haven’t been able to support them when they wanted to. Now they can and hopefully this will encourage people to keep going.
Especially if you consider many users not wanting to leave YT to use sites like Patreon, and may also want an easy one time payment they don't have to cancel before the next month.
I agree, I surpassed 500 subscribers about a month ago, and I only reached that threshold due to the support of my viewers, after I posted a video imploring them to subscribe! I only have one fan supporting me on pattern, and I think they are trying to become more like patron, especially since Patreon nw allows creators to upload and embed video! RUclips is basically trying to put every social media platform into one it sounds like! They're trying to compete with every platform that's out there! I still have not seen the new requirements in my earn tab yet, even though I live in the U.S., which is odd.
I think they should allow the the smaller channels to tap the ad revenue, but maybe just get a smaller portion compared to the full requirements. Ads run on my videos now, and I don't get a cent. At the end of the day, it is motivation to stay on the grind! Consistency will pay off. DONT GIVE UP!
I think lowering the watch time requirement is way more helpful than lowering the sub requirements, getting 1000 subs is way easier than 4k watch hours for a lot of creators
I think it's better than the old system. Granted, as a small channel you might not have a grand audience, but fans of your channel now have an option to directly support you earlier on in the "game". So... yeah, I think it can help smaller creators :)
This is really great. As a small content creator, I know how hard it is to gain traction and attention from the start. I was tired of creating content almost every day and only getting few hundred views on my best days. After that, I used to tools to increase my subs and views (now I am mainly using Famester, as it works for Instagram and Tiktok as well, which are my main platforms). Now I can say that I have no troubles with algorithm, and I have more and more organic views every single day. It's much more easier and much more enjoyable this way.
I think RUclips could cut the ad revenue in half, so small channels that reach the 500 subscribers and 3000 watch hours could currently start earning 50% of the ad revenue they would earn if they reached the original YPP requirements.
Build TRUST with your audience. That's my key takeaway from the new YPP monetization update. If we cannot monetize our content but only our audience, then RUclips is indirectly helping smaller channels remember to focus on their audience first and statistics second. Hope all of you around 500+ subscribers and 3000 watch hours keep that "trust" aspect in mind. Ad Meliora!
4000 watch hours is not easy. Just taking it one day at a time. No fancy camera. No video editing. Just recording and posting. Every day. South Africa.
For everyone reading, keep focused on the longetivity of your channel. Don't adjust too much for short term objectives. Always keep your mission and vision in mind when creating video's.
As a small unmonetized creator, I think the OG eligibility requirements are fair, makes the prospect of getting monetized feel like a well earned accomplishment. Glad RUclips is still keeping them in place for revenue sharing.
Same. Lowering the requirements too much seems like it would just result in a flood of low effort content. And I say this as someone who only has 14 subscribers.
@@TechnicallyTrent That's why they put the restrictions in place in the first place, but these new requirements are primarily for Live Streamers, as an effort to be a bit more competitive with Twitch. Live Streaming kind of requires quality content,
It's a good idea. I'd like to think of it as a nice little milestone for growing channels to celebrate. It's like RUclips telling you "We know you're working hard and we want to recognize that effort earlier. So here you go, just to let you know you're half way there and to keep going!" Good luck to everyone out there & keep grinding!
If you stream it's an amazing news for these small creators, it's a way from the start to build a relationship with their audience and grow faster! I'm happy RUclips made these changes; it makes it a more welcoming place for every creator. Hoping they will extend their country list soon too
It's preferable to the previous system, in my opinion. Even though you might not have a large audience because your channel is small, your viewers now have a way to actively assist you earlier in the "game." So, absolutely, I do believe it can benefit smaller creators.
have you ever had a video go on revenue share? its next to pointless, and thats as a monetized channel, so I imagine that those not in the 1k 4k hours ypp will get even less, and there isnt much less than 0.01
@@wo0dy yep. A lot of people in the comment section are making some ignorant posts. I had a couple videos that included royalty-free music that were revenue shared. I tried to appeal the copyright claims but RUclips didn't care. So instead of getting basically peanuts I just removed the video and put it on other platforms. I'm not going to let somebody make money off of my hard work! Especially when I paid a license for their music.
I like that Channel Membership is unlocked for smaller channels. That was what I was shooting for to begin with to create specific content for members that didn't have to apply to the mass public.
It's crazy because I became monetized in 2021 and got demonetized in 2022...and it's been hell getting back monetized......from clearing up any copyright claims (I have over 2k videos on channel and ZERO claims) and then trying to get my hours back up (currently under 1k) Hope to get back up there this year.
@@archer_muzik uploaded episodes of an old series that I saw nowhere on the internet that I have. The owner of the series (his son actually) had put claim on them, causing me to get two strikes. I spoke with the son and we together got RUclips to remove the strikes but I already had deleted the videos so I couldn't recover some of the URLs attached to videos to clear one of the strikes. Then afterwards YT hit me up saying they reviewed my channel and demonetized me saying I have no original content (outside of those vids everything on my channel I created lol) so I had to go through all my videos (which was a long process) to see any copyright claims that may have been on my vids (such as bg music) and edit or delete. Last year when that was going on was the least of my worries while helping my sis with her three grandkids while my niece recovered from being shot. So now my channel is spotless but now I got to go through the painstaking process of getting watch hrs again. I'm here everyday. Feel free to drop by!
I think it’s a strategy to attract more influencers from other platforms like tik tok, instagram, but my suspect is that in future they will lower rpm, like happened in ad sense decades ago in websites
This is freaking perfect! My community always asks me about memberships and super chats and stuff. I'm at just under 500 subs and 3k watch hours right now. 1k and 4k feels pretty far away still, but I absolutely LOVE this. I can make a focused push and be at these new requirements in 2 weeks. I could care less about ad revenue. Sure, it would be nice. I used to be monetized and the extra bit of income was nice, but inconsequential really. Having the ability to integrate my community better will be a Godsend I think and even help growth in the long run.
Good that they’re making it easier for new creators to get into the program . I had to jump through so many hoops trying to get monitized, it was easier for me to buy a house! 💥Insane
I always thought 500 subs should be enough for partner. A filter for spam channels makes sense but 1000 subs seemed too high. Plenty of 500-999 sub channels that get thousands of views that could cover a bill or two at least if they could monetise. Don't know what's holding RUclips back from just giving the ad revenue to 500 sub channels.
because youtube want to make money off your channel before you do. so they make you grind for few more months but they take whatever money your current videos make whilst you do the hard work. i think its a scumbag move.
This is actually VERY useful and motivating for me. The fact that it's a tier below and something easier to work towards first while still having a bit of income just waiting for the actual YPP.
Lame, we need to be monetized from the get go. They have all measures in place to prevent low quality content from reaching an audience already, so it needs to go back to the old way of having everyone able to earn from all of their videos and not have to meet arbitrary requirements.
I think this program has great potential and will be super beneficial for small creators. Assuming the goal is to build a community (and not *just* get big, make bank), this will allow our loyal, early followers the opportunity to support us directly. Very cool! But personally, I'm not adjusting my mindset just because the goal post moved. Stay focused, keep pushing. 🙂💪
This is great to see RUclips adding more considerations to smaller channels! I think this is a good move on their part to keep people creating and maybe prevent them getting burned out chasing a goal that might seem unattainable. For all of you out there, good luck and keep going! Play the long game and keep learning and improving.
I wonder when these changes will update on the RUclips studio app. This is good news for small channel creators like myself. This was the motivation I needed to edit my five videos & upload them today. Good luck to everyone 😊
I think they should let people monetize from ad as soon as they hit 500 subs and give them 25% at 750% 50% and 1k subs 100% or as it now. Win win for everyone
This is very attainable. However, I feel like the 4K and 1K subs feels more satisfying after achieving it. I think the 1K and 4K for AdSense make sense. Because you would barely reach the threshold if you can't attain the 4K and 1K
That isn't true. My channel was reaching the threshold in about 32-40 days with no more than 152 subs. A good video.or two with the right cpm and your off to the races. Even without the sub count.
@Mawampi At the time you only needed 3 videos and a couple thousand views. Don't think it was more than 10000 views. It was low. So it was easier to get into the program. If you get into the program now, and are only making $2 a month, you would have to have viewers in low ad markets or you will lose your eligibility in a year. You have to maintain the 1000 subs, and keep your watch time above 4000 hours. That is a rolling 365 days. So if you had a crazy month, then below average views for the rest of the time after that month, your watch time will start to drop daily. Whe. That last good day drops off you will take a big dip.
@@FlexinJC Ok I understand. The early monetization was different, I agree. However, if your watchtime keeps dropping daily & don’t jump up in the long run, then you need to focus on being consistent.
It is fair because RUclips still wants serious and committed creators to be rewarded. This is still a better deal than what we had before, so I’m thankful.
To be honest, this is a great idea. To me it will go a long way of motivating small RUclipsrs like me never to give up. Because investing in YT and not making nothing out of it is quite demoralizing.
I think this is great. It’s a more attainable goal for us small channels & it unlocks things we could certainly use for potential income (i.e. super chat, super thanks, channel memberships) from dedicated followers/supporters as we grow. Being fully monetized (w/Adsense) wouldn’t make sense for channels so small, as we wouldn’t be getting the view count needed to actually earn any substantial $$ from ads. All in all, it’s a good update on RUclips’s part. 😉👍
Once again, RUclips does something ALMOST right. What they SHOULD have done is create a lower tier of their standard monetization model for creators who are struggling to get either of the YPP requisites; a "minor league," if you will. This would give smaller creators some hope that their efforts have been worth it, while inspiring them to keep improving; keep reaching towards attaining that "big league" status, for lack of a better term. Swing & a miss, YT.
@VidIQ I manifested this !!! I was just thinking about the last 14 years of my RUclips journey to monetize and thinking I’m so close with they would just lower the watch time a little, my head is about to roll, so I just kept thinking how awesome it would be to reach that goal and here it is a few weeks later! Thank you so much for the confirmation on my manifestation I’m so grateful ! Have a good day and have fun!!! Be safe xo
Woah dude this is actually pretty cool. Monetization is cool, but I was more interested in the audience engagement thingys anyways. Super cool- thank god you guys exist to translate their updates!!!
I don't think it's the best update. It does allow us to get monetised which is great. However, viewers voluntarily pay for memberships and supers. If you're a small channel, people are less likely to do that. I wish it was the other way round: ads first and memberships later.
I think this is cool to see RUclips lower the requirements, and make it sort of like how Twitch has the affiliate program vs the partner program. Albeit, if RUclips wanted to make it an affiliate type of thing, why not make the watch time requirement only 2k watch hours and 2.5M Shorts views? To me, that's what I would've done if I wanted to make an affiliate-type of program for growing creators.
I think these new requirements will help small channels build a community around them. From what I am seeing, all small channels are looking to get to 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch time and then just stagnate. I see a lot of channels with 3k subscribers, but 300 views on average. Of course, it is not 100% the news I wanted, but I am sure it is going to help me in the long term.
I do think it is fair. I mean for years you would not have access to anything with 500 subs but now you do even if it is not ad revenue and it is not the most efficient way of making money on RUclips, there is always a possibility that your subscribers want to support you and now it is possible. Plus, they might update it (or not) in the future so it can be better. hitting 500 subs was already a great accomplishment but now it is even better since it feels like you are slowly unlocking all the features of a RUclipsr, and this will also help smaller streamers.
The one thing I think that is missed here is that this isn't just structured for smaller channels who make RUclips Content. This is for the people who are done with streaming on Twitch and want to post all of their content on RUclips. Now people who aren't happy with how things work for Twitch can now post all their content on one platform, build their audience, and monetize their content sooner. This is a push to bring more streamers to the platform and grow the streaming community on RUclips.
@@sci-fi.tsunami then make content on another platform. The point isn’t to talk about what platform is the best, but to talk about what RUclips is doing for its smaller content creators. The other point is that Twitch in very recent history has made some very poor decisions that directly effects all creators on all levels, whereas RUclips is directly trying to help more creators.
I think this is a good move on RUclips's part to try and support their creators. It definitely feels like a response to TikTok and/or Twitch. The lower barrier definitely helps the RUclipsr journey appear less daunting and possibly encourages creators to develop a stronger community. Thank you all for covering this! Great news for a Tuesday. 🙂
My guess is it will help channels that will never grow large enough to meet standard YPP requirements because their niche is just too small. It will make it easier for said micro-niche channels to monetise without the need for a separate website, but building such a strong, monetisable community will likely take almost if not as long as building the subscriber base & watch hours for full YPP membership.
There is a BUT however I believe it’s a little motivation to keep pushing. Trust me I know it’s difficult. Let’s all keep consistent, the goal is to get monetized.
At 466 subs I’m knocking on the door of new features. But that darn watch hour is a freaking headache. I understand why RUclips does it though. This at the minimum helps keep a small creator like me motivated. I had suggested through the feedback channel for RUclips a different version of this so it feels good to see they are listening and created their own version of my feedback. I figured why not open some features in a graduated manner instead of holding everything at the top where some of us have the most difficult time trying to reach it. I mean I thought I would never reach the partner program. But with a graduated program now I’m more motivated to keep it going. Just my take on it. I thought it was a bit unfair for creators to work so hard and get nothing from the platform. So I welcome this change.
We have just the opposite on our channels haha. Your subscribers appear to watch all the way giving you all the watch hours while me i have subscribers but they don’t finish the videos. Meaning that I’m still trying to figure out how to get people to create long session times while your trying to get more people to watch haha. Take a little from me and a little from you and there would be a channel that would be rocketing to the moon. I wish you continued luck and growth! You are indeed doing way better than I am.
I put some thought into this, and I think the 500 subs and 3k public watch hours lite requirement is a good idea. Not only does it allow for your audience to have the option to support you directly, but it gives a lot of channels a bit of a “sneak peak” of what they’ll get once they’re at the usual requirements when they get to 1k subs and 4k watch hours. To me, this could be a good push a lot of channels need to create more content, so that they can reach the standard requirements after the smaller threshold. For me, the fact there’s now only 3 million views for shorts as the lite requirement sounds amazing! It’ll be incredible to be at a halfway point in a way, to earn money from content in some ways. Of course, I’m still gonna enjoy making content as is, I simply just want to get there so I can say that I’ve reached that goal haha
i think this is huge for small channels! I have a good audience size but simply can't get the watch time, so lowering that, even for giving up ad money is worth it.
Work hard 1k Subs and 4000 hours is very achievable. Don't settle for 500 and 3000. Even if you do make it to 1k Subs and 4000 hours. The game just begins. Stop focusing On getting it Just make the videos and put the hard work In I don't even care for Subs now I just want to build the best community/brand and business I can. I'm here for the long haul. And that's a real business
The audience/community building is all I want really lol. I'm not really focused on ad rev because I plan to create/sell products. I've been hearing talk of bringing audiences away from platforms to websites/discords etc to be free from the ever growing restrictions and changes of socials making them unstable. Even though you don't get ads I think it's a step in a good direction. As a minuscule channel it makes the hurdle seem closer which is cool 😂
We all got this. No matter what! You're doing great. It's a hard road but we're each on our own journey and supporting each other with positivity and warmth is what keeps us going. I wish you all success.
I think it's great - it will really spur people into action to hit the full targets once they are pre monetised and ready to go without having to go through the application process again. Shame it's not a worldwide roll out yet though.
The problem with this is royalties for the wrier. Amazon claims that even though they are the ones who sell my books to other sources, it's not their responsibility to pay my royalties.
I honestly think this is more then fair it has been proven you can't really depend on ads anyway anyone remember the adocalypse as long as you build your Comunity your fine this should actually give small youtubers more motivation
While I think RUclips takes too much of a cut for super thanks (I can't remember the exact amount, but its near 50%, isn't it?) I'm grateful that smaller creators have more options, now. If RUclips kept their hands out of super thanks, that would be awesome 👍😎
I think it would be motivating to see a "You would have earned" feature in studio to see the potential earnings go up as you continue to create as added motivation.
As a channel that is literally days away from becoming eligible- I clicked this video thinking it'd mean I was already over the hump. This news doesn't impact me as much, but do feel it gives new creators a sign of hope sooner in the process. It is the encouragement many of us need.
I think that a small amount of monetization with a less demanding amount of subscribers and such is a good idea, since it is better than the whole lot of nothing creators would have been getting before. (Love your videos btw, super helpful)
I was excited until I heard that I wouldn’t be able to earn money from ads. These new requirements won’t benefit most small creators. With 500 subs, I doubt many people are going to donate with superchat or superthanks. You would have to be streaming pretty often to benfit from this. Also memberships aren't going to be a great help either due to the same issue. Like it was said in the video, this is monetizing your audience, not your content. If you could earn money from ads, this change would be amazing, but it just feels somewhat pointless.
This is very good news for people who are starting out streaming on RUclips -- once they hit that 500/3000, they can add channel memberships with that 70/30 split. This is pretty huge.
TBH I feel like these requirements were more of a response to what is going on with Twitch. A lot of small streamers were thinking about RUclips, Kick, or Rumble as alternatives, but were scared of RUclips's requirements for Partner. I think this will encourage more livestreamers to join the platform now as a Twitch alternative.
If RUclips runs ads on my videos and they are getting paid it would be nice to revive something for this. (( I have 21 subs so far and there are ads ))
To be honest, it would be beneficial for small channels who also stream often. Considering streaming is my way of churning out many watch hours... When it gets rolled out in my country I'm going for it.
they are doing this because it basically monetizes streaming and with how twitch has been lately they are just trying to get more people who have small audiences to come to youtube instead of twitch
I'm not motivated to make videos without making any money. Right now I hate making videos & I am 100% unmotivated. I can't even get 1 video per week uploaded because I just don't care. I feel defeated before I even start. And I constantly see other RUclipsrs complaining about being demonetized, shadow-banned & if they stop uploading videos for a few weeks their channel goes dead & RUclips no longer promotes their videos. And I am sick to death of hearing bout this goddamn "algorithm". This is *EXTREMELY* discouraging. Having somebody else control how much money you are allowed to earn is the absolute worst of the worst! I'm disabled on SSI, suffering in extreme poverty & it is nearly impossible for me to make money. Nothing works! I'm limited to what I can do & what is available never works. I'm permanently trapped in this hole just waiting to die so I can be released from this HELL.

Yes I was surprised when I went back to one of my previous videos & there were ads, I am not close yet to become monetized but keep grinding away.

*WE'RE LOWERING YPP REQUIREMENTS!* ----- Well yes but actually no.
Yeah so true🤷♂️
I think lowering the watch time requirement is way more helpful than lowering the sub requirements, getting 1000 subs is way easier than 4k watch hours for a lot of creators
Not in my case. Im almost at 4k watch hours but only have 498 subs (lost 2 today)
@@savingsiskola just got one back 😉
@@savingsiskola say hello to 500 baby👌
I think it's better than the old system. Granted, as a small channel you might not have a grand audience, but fans of your channel now have an option to directly support you earlier on in the "game". So... yeah, I think it can help smaller creators :)
Yessss, I agreee.
I’m excited for it.
Yep
as a small creator who is about to hit 500, I see this as a big win!
It's much more easier and much more enjoyable this way.
how can I contact you bro?
I think RUclips could cut the ad revenue in half, so small channels that reach the 500 subscribers and 3000 watch hours could currently start earning 50% of the ad revenue they would earn if they reached the original YPP requirements.
Yeah, we agree that maybe a smaller cut of ad revenue may be a good starting point.
Good idea for us bot not for youtube since statistically people with 500 subs are most probably not gonna get that much money
This is a good idea!
Amazing! I'm tuning in to your channel now.
Its not too late, one day we're all gonna have a successful youtube channel. We won't give up and we'll never give up.
Keep going 👍you got this
Build TRUST with your audience. Ad Meliora!
Trust comes easy for me. 639 subs, but only 1063 watch hours. 🙁
Yep been a creator since 2006
Great advice.
Just Subbed to your channel.
Yessss
Keep it up!
I have 47k subs and 8 million shorts views in 2 months so that means I'll be monitised 🌞🌞
Live Streaming kind of requires quality content,
Which is why they didnt lower watch time by much
@@TechnicallyTrent I only got 1 subs
It’s still a well earned requirement lol. 1000 subs is crazy enough with the 4000 watch hours
Small youtuber: *breathers*
RUclips: let's give them false hopes
I just started a small car channel, its been growing well thanks to you guys and I cant wait to hit a big milestone like this!!
you got some good quality vids, i subscribed
I feel scammed. Even RUclips started scamming nowadays. Nothing is what it sounds initially 😢
Definitely a good way to look at it! Best wishes!
I didn't think of it in that way. That's a good way to see it. Positive outlook.
I see you have lots of subs! Are you monetized?
have you ever had a video go on revenue share? its next to pointless, and thats as a monetized channel, so I imagine that those not in the 1k 4k hours ypp will get even less, and there isnt much less than 0.01
@@wo0dy yep.
@@AdamsDuhStuff Then don't put music in your videos?
@@LearnElectronicsRepair Don't put music I paid a license for in my videos? I'd prefer if they would honor their contractual agreement.
Why were you demonetized
@@goat1408 Too bad. Sorry about that Champ
You must have a really engaged community which is awesome!
I mean this is way better than the old monetization requirements ngl
Yes you right good luck to us a small creators it's very helpful
Lame, we need to be monetized from the get go. They have all measures in place to prevent low quality content from reaching an audience already, so it needs to go back to the old way of having everyone able to earn from all of their videos and not have to meet arbitrary requirements.
I think this program has great potential and will be super beneficial for small creators. Assuming the goal is to build a community (and not *just* get big, make bank), this will allow our loyal, early followers the opportunity to support us directly. Very cool! But personally, I'm not adjusting my mindset just because the goal post moved. Stay focused, keep pushing. 🙂💪
Agree. Making this horrible news to content creators of all those countries that don't get this 😢
@@bbreak I agree - it stinks that it's not a universal update across the globe. 🙁
What's that old saying, " if it's too good to be true it usually is"
This is great to see RUclips adding more considerations to smaller channels! I think this is a good move on their part to keep people creating and maybe prevent them getting burned out chasing a goal that might seem unattainable. For all of you out there, good luck and keep going! Play the long game and keep learning and improving.
Why don’t they give you only ad monetizing at 500 and the the rest at 1k, makes way more sens right?
I wonder when these changes will update on the RUclips studio app. This is good news for small channel creators like myself. This was the motivation I needed to edit my five videos & upload them today. Good luck to everyone 😊
I’m so confused on how it works
I think they should let people monetize from ad as soon as they hit 500 subs and give them 25% at 750% 50% and 1k subs 100% or as it now. Win win for everyone
This is very attainable. However, I feel like the 4K and 1K subs feels more satisfying after achieving it. I think the 1K and 4K for AdSense make sense. Because you would barely reach the threshold if you can't attain the 4K and 1K
Great point!
That isn't true. My channel was reaching the threshold in about 32-40 days with no more than 152 subs. A good video.or two with the right cpm and your off to the races. Even without the sub count.
@@FlexinJC How can you reach the pay-out threshold if you only had 152 subs? You need 1000 subs to even see if you're getting money from ad-sense.
This is our chance everybody, make the best content you can and I hope to see you all big one day!
Right 👍we got this
It is fair because RUclips still wants serious and committed creators to be rewarded.
as a small streamer leaving Twitch it feels like a way for youtube to try and draw in anyone fleeing there to their platform. and im all for it!
Cool to hear you excited about the stuff that's harder to monetize but more rewarding!
What about people who aren't happy with how things work for RUclips? lol
It's still not useful if its not open to all the countries.
Phenomenal! I'm opening your channel right now.
I don't know what to think of the new requirements. It's not really true monetisation as we know it.
So I welcome this change.
i already have 12k watch hours(public, last 365 days, videos) yet i am at 701 subs . idk how
Your take is welcome and appreciated.
It's like they're saying, Here's a piece of cake, but you can't eat it. Just admire it from a distance
Honestly. I just make videos for fun. I would still aim for the original requirements regardless.
Bittersweet after hitting 1k/4k but it's nice for up and comers!
Well that's nice I'm going to start recording again soon I just got a editor and a thumbnail maker so this just made it even better.
i think this is huge for small channels! I have a good audience size but simply can't get the watch time, so lowering that, even for giving up ad money is worth it.
Loving the positive outlook on this!
Work hard 1k Subs and 4000 hours is very achievable.
Don't settle for 500 and 3000.
Even if you do make it to 1k Subs and 4000 hours.
The game just begins.
Stop focusing On getting it
Just make the videos and put the hard work In
I don't even care for Subs now
I just want to build the best community/brand and business I can.
I'm here for the long haul.
And that's a real business
Great advice. Thanks for this.
I’m still trying.
It is fair. I’ve been trying for 6 years to get invited. I meet these requirements though. Thank you for sharing this!
We hate youtube all it does is still our money
We are not small channel!!!! We just not give up!!!!
I went on to earn on RUclips studio and it still said 1000 subscribers 😢
As a channel that is literally days away from becoming eligible- I clicked this video thinking it'd mean I was already over the hump. This news doesn't impact me as much, but do feel it gives new creators a sign of hope sooner in the process. It is the encouragement many of us need.
I think that a small amount of monetization with a less demanding amount of subscribers and such is a good idea, since it is better than the whole lot of nothing creators would have been getting before.
(Love your videos btw, super helpful)
Good point!
I think this new policy is a bit favorable 😊 but let them spread it to the rest of the countries as faster as possible...🙏🇰🇪💲
I’m confused, So RUclips is basically changing nothing
We got this guys!!! Keep grinding 💪
Yess, most definitely.
Honestly, We take those.
I have been waiting for this for so long
I still see the old YPP Requirements in my youtube studio. How can i get the new YPP Requirementa than?
This is a huge step forward youtube have given small creators a little treat which this news has definitely gave me a 2nd wind! Let's go peeps!!!
they are doing this because it basically monetizes streaming and with how twitch has been lately they are just trying to get more people who have small audiences to come to youtube instead of twitch
No they are not fair if you are in a small niche demographic, and they already have ads on my videos that I don't get a percentage of.
The watch hours are what still hurt the most xD
Can you expand on what “monetize your audience mean”? Thanks and love the vids!
