Not true, but for most games it’s around 25-30%. It’s 15% if you ship the games yourself (just 8% for consoles). The reason FBA is a good idea is because you can win the buy box, where your game is posted on the front page of that game, not just in the list with everyone else. This helps you sell faster sometimes and also allows you to charge a price much higher than normal-high enough to make the 25-30% worth it.
This is hard to answer in a RUclips comment, but If you're already an Amazon seller, signing up for FBA is easy. Just check Seller University from the Dashboard. However, very new sellers with not many feedbacks often have to get a certain number of orders sold before they are eligible for the Buy Box placement (which is the best reason for doing FBA). If you're looking to become an Amazon seller, there's a somewhat difficult process that includes a phone or zoom call with them. Once you're allowed in, you are ungated for many brands automatically, but you often have to buy 10 items from each company (Capcom, for example) through an authorized distributor and keep the invoices to send Amazon with your request to sell that particular brand. I've been there for almost 10 years now so it was a lot easier when I started.
What a haul! Getting first look through that storage unit feels like the retro gaming dream!
I'm definitely glad he sent me a message. Just too bad that a lot of it wasn't for sale yet. Thanks for the view & the comment!

Is selling through FBA worth it? I heard they take 50% of the cut which is huge, and makes it more or less the same profit as you would on Ebay

@@KevinAtPacific Wow thanks for the info. Also, how did you get ungated? Did it take long for it.
