This figure is by far my favourite Wolverine figure ever. That headsculpt and the clothing for me is the best rendition of comic book Logan adapted into real life. Hands down the most iconic wolverine figure in the scale.
Even though the tiger stripe body is used for this figure, it somehownlooks bulkier. I agree the unmasked headsculpt looks a little big and sits a little high on the body. Excellent review and thanks for all the comparisons!
Hi Justin. Hope things are going well with you. I’m excited to see Jackman once again as this iconic character and he’s played Wolverine so well all these years. I’ve heard that the wolverine was depicted differently in the comics and I love to see that depiction here. The facial expression is priceless along with the physique/costume that is amazing. Just got the yellow suit version, and after seeing this, I am happy that I bought the yellow suit version. This one looks like more mezco than sideshow.
Its a really creative take on realizing the og costume but I wish the top portion didn't remind me of scarecrow. The suede fabric was an odd choice, and no variation in the upper portion.

I thought about getting this figure, I do have the Astonishing version. I was reading the books when Wolvie transitioned between the striped version and the brown costume. Mixed in there were the other one-off costumes he wore. Those arms are so very annoying, I guess they thought they were being innovative attempting a seamless look but they ended up pretty ugly. It is nice to see that they used plain old swap out hands instead of those terrible press-on claws. I think my biggest complaint about these versions is that I just don't care for the head sculpt. I have an old Toybiz 8" Wolvie that is similar but not quite as "grizzled".
I have the same wxact figure but out of the box my claws were a bit loose and kept falling and the joints are a tad bit too tough to articulate but over all i really love this specially both the head sculpts

If you don't mind me giving you advice, since you are paying a good amount of money, id say get the figure that you want the most and start from there. Look up for reviews for the figure you want and go from there.
Ehhhh, for what you’re paying, that suit should at least have a better fit. Looks floppy, unprofessional, and terribly made. Face sculpt looks a bit goofy, not quite it. But that’s Sideshow signature, they always seem to miss that one bit, and never really “nail it”. Not that I’m surprised. 🤷♂️
While the brown Wolvie outfit is by far my favorite in the comics, this figure's costume is making me cringe. In the comics, the dark brown doesn't make a 'T' shape on his chest, it's supposed to kind of curves outward from the belt upward.

The Logan head sculpt is not the best head sculpt, but it's very hard to not like it upon seeing it in person. The quality is just superb.

Wolverine in the comics is sometimes drawn with a bigger head for his body. Most of the old school wolverine comic books looked that way.
