1:06 I say I will use Eternabond 11:00 I show rubber filler in hole 14:12 I show Eternabond package 15:09 I glue rubber filler down 15:49 I put Eternabond patch on I kinda think you didn't watch the video....ha ha
I guess it did not go all the way through, I see you and I have the same issue with shacking hands, stops me from painting as I put more on the trim work then walls. Good video my friend
Generous of you to give a shout out to AZ rv repair. I’ve watched many of his roof replacement videos. Wouldn’t insurance authorize the full replacement of this roof? Two thumbs up. Enjoy your channel.
Any suggestions on closing the space from removing the water heater? I’m thinking it’ll be a little like this just bigger. Thank you for any suggestions!
It will be really tough to close that hole, if you want it to look really nice. If that is not too important, just get a small sheet of aluminum in the correct color. Put that over the hole and seal it with silicone.
I would cut the patch first then trace it on the roof. Cutting the eternabond patch corners round would seem to reduce possibility of corner pulling up
I have a talking dog. I asked my dog "What's on the top of a house?" and he answered "Roof!". Then I asked him "How does sandpaper feel?", and he said "Ruff". No joke.
Just curious have you ever tried welding a patch with pvc glue. Mostly the same way you done that one except using a square of roof membrane and pvc glue to chemically bond the seams
AZ Is a great site for tottal replacement. But this is the video I have been wanting to see
Thanks. Glad you like it Terry.
Az

You just saved me a TON of money!

my satellite dish hole has been repaired with a metal plate, are there negatives?
WOW instant relief! Thank you!
Glad I could help.
Looks like ita work thanks for video and advice
It must have worked. This was 3 years ago and I haven't heard from them.
Then ad a solar panel on top of that for even more protection!
Oh yes. Put even more holes in the roof.
@@hillbillyrv Was thinking flex solar with tape and sealant
What did you use for the actual patch material?
1:06 I say I will use Eternabond
11:00 I show rubber filler in hole
14:12 I show Eternabond package
15:09 I glue rubber filler down
15:49 I put Eternabond patch on
I kinda think you didn't watch the video....ha ha
He mentioned using osb board early on briefly
Nice job!
Thanks Tom

It sure didn't. It didn't even touch the ceiling panel.
great video. where can i find an eternabond patch that size?
They make eterna-bond in wider widths and you just cut the size you need.
Mama's rolling pin would of layed that patch out, too! But it would have gotten you into a pretty good fuss, Lol! Nice job fella's!
You know better than touch mama's rolling pin. lol

They did. The customer got a NICE fat check, but opted to patch it. That is their decision. I just do what they pay me to do. Thanks Robert

Good ideas.
I'd have cleaned that roof more, but it was a good repair and video! 👍
It's hard to clean off years of tree sap.
Where can you order the eternabond sheet. Thanks, Sacramento
There is 4 inch, 6 inch and 12 inch wide Eternabond in my Amazon store. www.amazon.com/shop/hillbillyrv
No dicor around the edges?
I think I did, but for some reason didn't have video of it. Good catch Mark
Prior to the Eternabond patch, what material was that smaller patch you put on the wood first?
Rubber roof material, just trying to make it all the same thickness. Make it look as good as possible.
Thank you!
Gets the job done. One step further would be to go over the edges of the Eternabond patch with self leveling sealant. Either way, a good repair.
Thanks
Cut a circle for a patch then nothing will lift after you roll it out. Also dont use sheet rock coarse screws. Use stainless steel
Thanks Gary. All good ideas
How big of a hole can be patched this way.
I have done 3-4 feet before.
You need to be using a flat square and a multi tool there could be wires underneath of that
Sometimes you just have to live dangerous.

Wow !!!
You should take that show on the road.

Nope. Never tried that.
Nice 👍
Pro patch ... !!!
Thanks
You just left the Eterna bond backing on your first patch? Then applied the final patch over a dirty surface. You will be re-visiting this job soon.
I have learned a lot in the 3 years since this video was shot. By the way, I never heard from them, so it must still be ok, 3 years later.
You're supposed to make the Brake Clean sound when the can is shown ....
I am not Eric O
NICE
Pro patch...
