While in the RAF I got on a train at Liverpool street station and went into the Buffett, to find myself talking to Jack Bruce one of my heroes. I think it was 1970-71, he was wearing a suit that looked exactly the same as the one in this video, he got off at Colchester. around the same time I saw Rory Gallagher, another one of my heroes, and my all time favourite guitarist

The jam never suffers for lack of bottom somehow, even when Jack buzzes around creatively up a little high on the neck. His melodic lines keep you busy & are the equal of the guitar as far as meriting attention without being a distraction from the soloing. What a talent! I'll forever remember him almost 60 years ago singing "Politician" with Ginger & Clapton and holding 10,000 of us hippies under his spell at The Baltimore Civic Center! Jack Bruce! Thanks, Jack!! @@mvela1235 Interesting comparison. As I see it they were very different players. SRV took Jimi’s licks and attitude to stratospheric levels nobody else will ever reach. But Rory had an almost scholarly level of grounding in the old folk blues, and he could make the instrument sing like a human being.
But let’s face it. Once players reach a certain level comparisons get to be a matter of taste. Every great player has his strong points - and his limitations that other players cover. This is true on every instrument in every genre.

The looks the two legends gave each other at the beginning:
Rory Gallagher: "OMG I'm jamming with Jack Bruce."
Jack Bruce: "OMG I'm jamming with Rory Gallagher."
That's why I admire these two legends so much. They admired and respected follow greatness. Such a great performance.

    🌹Wow, this is💪🏻great!
💭This must be where my Dad got the saying "if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all" as he'd always laugh and say to me?😂Rory seems to play like a♟chess👏🏻player,💭10 notes ahead of the one he's 🎸playing and Jack👏🏻plays like a marching soldier, doesn't skip a beat.🤦🏻‍♀️Man, some women have done💔wrong hearing lyrics written like👆🏻that!
    ♥️What a great🤘🏻duet, thanks for sharing.

who ever forever will not have to say That is a premium of a Rory Gallagher and Jack Bruce as well known and too a songwriter often both are a so intriguing picture that shows Bruce is a great character and more importantly sweet Rory Gallagher So much for that reason he's a great character and a lot more of his old Fender playing up to an old blues classic. to have at his age too much. he loves it.and Bruce to the point. both a legend of the great BLUES honour the roots.both makers and I think Rory Gallagher and Cream but he was so special. Devil 's gates songs of eternity ♡♡♡☆☆☆☆♡♡♡♡♡♡♡KARIN LOVE
