A friend of mine has these for his Wrangler Rubicon. They're great. We put them on in his garage and it was a pain but the end result was awesome. He's got a 2 inch lift and 37s and it made a huge difference in ease of entry and exit; especially for his wife and kids.
Agreed! They need end caps! It runs a little short of meeting the front fender as well. An end cap would help with that. Other than that a great product!

The sensor and exposed wiring make's this a big negatory for me. Ridiculous switches too.....Why not wire them into the aux switches supplied?....Also, no end caps?.....how long would it take to fill them with nasty wet mud? I'm not even going to check out the price....... A rushed and unfinished item.

Is there a lowering and raising override? What happens if you are out on the trials with doors of and acidently turn the power boards on? They will lower becasue the doors aren't there. Is there a way to manually raise the boards?
@ShadowBoss205 I watched it all. What happens in this scenario: 1. Press the kill switch so they are locked in the up position. 2. Take the doors off. 3. Press the kill switch to activate the step. The step thinks the doors are off so it drops the step. How do you get the steps to retract without putting the doors back on?

I have these on my gladiator. They one come Down if the door is shut then opens. If its already open when you hit the switch they don’t drop. He didn’t mention it but they also come with a hand sized computer box
I like the look and the function, but I couldn't tolerate the janky looking door sensors. I don't love Amps OBD II solution either, but at least I can't see that every time I open the doors.

Yeah these are lazy engineering, the bronco, and every other modern vehicle has door sensors already, no reason to need to add additional points of failure, use a computer module to tap into pre-existing wiring instead of adding crap.

I’m not a salesman… but thanks! 😂 I’ve been an AMP research dealer for years now. I have been looking for a better quality part ever since we hooked up with AMP. This is the only viable alternative we have found… and that goes with any ford vehicle, not just the bronco.
The sensors are a necessary evil. But aesthetically speaking you’re kinda right. However it can be remedied with a more durable wire harness that matches the vehicle’s color. It can only be approved upon as the system itself is virtually flawless in it’s operation.
Wrong, not a "world's first", powered running boards have been offered from factory on Explorers and Lincoln SUV's for a decade, maybe longer. I absolutely detest hyperbole, especially from people who do not really have the background to make such statements, and who just repeat marketing's spin. Explorer is still a better vehicle than Bronco, and more fuel-efficient.
I think he meant worlds first for the Bronco. Not worlds first for all vehicles. Explorer might be a better choice for a DD and light off roading. Not so good for more serious off roading. What is best depends on what you plan to use it for.
You are correct power retractable running boards have been out for a while, but none of them except for Rockslide Engineering are actual rock sliders and power retractable.

I would heavily wrap the ends that aren't covered. Never trust exposed wire.
If you go to their website (link the description) you can see that they are in fact capped, just not right at the very edge.

Paint the pinch weld black from the front of your sliders forward to cheat the eye from seeing that little bit of white. Great looking slider/steps.
Use black ‘plasti-dip’ then you can peak it off if you ever went a different direction.

They are designed that way so they don’t interfere with huge tires. If you dont like the pinch seam showing just bedline or wrap it

What happens if your doors are already removed and when you are out wheeling you bump the switch, how do you put them up?
There is a switch that you can install so you can raise and lower them when the doors have been removed
