Urban Fishing in the Fog by the Statue of Liberty in NYC

I went to one of my favorite piers in Brooklyn, NY • Went Fishing Early The... was a foggy day but had decent visibility. You can see the Statue of Liberty off in the distance and yes I was trying to see if I could cast my bait right by her foot!

Just came across your channel and love your content. It’s amazing how good fishing is in areas you would never expect to hold fish. I loved the reaction and further comment from the young lady! I also loved your words of wisdom concerning fishing over sitting at home going nothing. There are times when I get lazy or unmotivated and make any excuse possible not to go but then I snap out of it because life is too precious and not to be taken for granted!
P.S.- One word of advice is you should pick up a big round hoop net. I picked one up from Dicks on sale for $26. It works fantastic for big fish. I used it on a 35 pound striper and 10 pound blackfish!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I think at times all fishermen lose some sort of motivation to get up at zero dark thirty and trek out to a spot. Switching up my gear and targeting different species of fish helps me combat that feeling! Also I actually have quite a few different nets but I didn't bring it that day bc that wasn't the original spot I was planning on going too.
