Tani Olorun you're great. Without doubt the death in mecca was as a result of excessive heat wave and the population of the people performing hajj. You cannot compare the heat/temperatures in the Southwest to that of Sokoto in Northern Nigeria, let alone Saudi Arabia. It's political and exaggeration to compare hajj to ojude oba, hajj has to be performed within a strictly timeframe. That involves everyone who travelled there for the purpose of performing hajj unlike ojude oba which is for entertainments.
