Only parents will always love their children unconditionally. Children will not love their parents unconditionally like they love them. Kids nowadays are selfish and cold hearted. A good parent will NEVER curse their kids. My mom had 12 kids and never once did she ever wish ill on us and not all of us loved her the way she deserved. I do feel for the mom in this story. I am a mom of 3 small kids all under the age of 15. I pray I will be a good mom and find strength in the lord every day.
I agree, three boys here and I can only wish to be good parent to my boys so someday they can be a good parent to their own children. In the story her kids told her not remarry but she went anyways. They didn't want to help her bc her new husband's side of the family was threatening them. I do truly feel bad for her.

Wow!!! This story makes my teary eye, sooner or later we’re going to get old one day, some of us will face the same situation or worse like this lady. In the Hmong culture had been the most discriminatory against the women’s includes your very own mom, daughter or anyone other than the same clans, especially the very own mother who gave birth to her own children’s, they used that excuse not to being able to taken care for her if she stepped out side to marry someone else! Kids these days are ungrateful and selfish. They don't care about their elderly parents. Parents please eat well and take care of yourselves for as long as possible. Go on vacation and spend your money. Don't save your money for them. Children remember no one escapes getting old and dying. Karma will get them. Their children will do the same thing to them.

How some people treat their elders is their business but not all Hmong kids think like that. My parents are my parents. If they treat me right no way will I abandon or mistreat them. I am glad I never made my parents tear fall. That's too bad for the kids that do.

She raised her kids and made sure they all had a life before she moved on. She was lonely and what's wrong with moving on and finding love again? She suffered with their dad. Her kids shouldve supported her even though they didn't get along with the step kids. They should've compromised with their mom, most step kids don't get along anyway. I hope they change their ways and take care of their dying mom. Like she said, you are all parents and should know how hard and grateful it is to be a parent. I would never wish this on my mom and MIL. They've raised me/my family better, it's all morals. This mom taught her children well but they left her. Best wishes to mom. 😔 I’m beginning to understand the feeling of yearning for the love of my children. Of not expecting but hoping they’d remember me on my birthday or Mother’s Day or the holidays. Or just to see them. To the mother of this story, I hope you find solace in solitude and learn to love yourself. Forget about those kids. I would understand if she was a cruel mother and ran off to marry someone and left them to fend for themselves or didn't give a damn about them or checked in on them but she didn't. She loved and took care of them until they can care for themselves and then married. It's no excuse for them to use the "oh, u remarried, we can't do shit or else your other children will get angry".. you are her children, they didn't come out of her, you did. Who has more right then that? These damn kids nowadays think they know so much and have so few respect for their elders. What goes around, comes back 10 times karma. I wish some of us love our parents the way we want our children to love us. She didn't curse her children, she's just telling them what their future and life will hold because of the way they treated her. It's karma, not curse.
