Mike Great video you bought a smile to charlies face when uou menchened is personal life funny.I had a non live mig no onegas welder not easy to do neat weld gas is much neater to work with you guys doing a great job but time flys when watching you we need more time longer videos please guys Phil in stoke

I just got myself an 09 Kia Proceed 1.6, it's not a Turbo car but was wondering if a turbo is a good upgrade and if it's compatible? I've heard they're an easy way to boost performance and even MPG.
I love these mad build videos, but i really enjoy the everyday car flips too 😂 Please keep doing both on the channel 😃 excellent upload as always and Happy Birthday 😃
Thanks Darren, that’s the plan mate. Hopefully the flips will keep the wages coming to allow us to do the mad builds and keep the channel going, I think when we start flipping more we will be going to 2 maybe even 3 videos a week so plenty content to come. Thanks for the Birthday wishes.
I had a couple of good monster turbos here in the workshop and two more the same size but the bearings had died a horrible death... Anyhoo... I think you're gonna need to pipe that turbo into either the glove box or boot... 😆 Did you ever consider doing it as a bi-turbo? Stick in a smaller one (probably located in the center console instead of the stereo 😆) for the initial acceleration before the big one kicks in? Turbo lag is all but gone these days, I know but still, bi-turbo could help with off the line acceleration. Could get you from the lights to the curry house a second or two quicker... 🤔

I’m hoping the low rev grunt of the V8 will keep it quick of the line while the turbo spools up, like you said turbo lag is almost a thing of the past and this twin scroll ceramic bearing turbo should spool pretty quick even though it’s huge so fingers crossed. do you know how much hp these stock s5 motors can handle? I also plan to do the same either with the s5 v8 or the b7 s4 v8 whichever one holds the most power and stays reliable at around 500-600

I was looking at those gloves thinking they wont do anything when welding lol
That was sore 😂 burnt a hole in my nail.

Hi Alastair, a turbo is always a great upgrade but you need to do some research first, not every engine is good for boost.
That's a sizable turbo. It's going to be interesting to see the end result 😁👍
I can’t wait to see the numbers when it’s fitted, the hardest bit of all this is finding an AWD dyno near us.

The power they can handle will depend on the tune, torque, power curve and probably a few other things. I'll be starting with a very safe tune.
