    American film director, screenwriter, and producer, Morgan Spurlock, died on May 23, at the age of 53. He was best known for directing, and starring, in the 2004 documentary, Super Size Me, for which he was nominated, for the Academy Award, for Best Documentary Feature Film. In total, during his career, he has worked on more than 70 films, and television series.
    American character actor, Richard Foronjy, passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 86. During his 30 year acting career, he has appeared in more than 75 films, and television series. He played, Tony Darvo, in the 1988 film, Midnight Run. Otto Plettschner, in the 1984 film, Repo Man. And Knucky, in the 1991 film, Oscar.
    American actor, Darryl Hickman, died on May 22, 2024, at the age of 92. He was a young actor in the Golden Age of Hollywood, before transitioning to a career in television as an adult. His most famous role was, as Danny Harland, in the 1945 film, Leave Her to Heaven. As an adult, he was perhaps best known for his role, as Bill Herron, in the 1976 film, Network.
    American communications director, and CNN political commentator, Alice Stewart, died on May 18, 2024, at the age of 58. She worked on five Republican presidential campaigns.

    American mixed martial artist, Geane Herrera, died in a traffic collision, on May 18, 2024, at the age of 33. He was best known for his stint in the UFC.
    American author, Caleb Carr, died of cancer, on May 23, at the age of 68. He was best known for his novel, The Alienist.
    American Hall of Fame professional football player, Jim Otto, died on May 19, 2024, at the age of 86. He played in the American Football League and National Football League, for the Oakland Raiders, for 15 seasons, and was selected to the Pro Bowl 3 times in a row, from 1970, to 1972.
