Survivors believe killers ego has to be big to be playing a certain playstyle, but don’t realize their own huge ego wanting someone to play their way 🤣
This is probably the only game where I see people getting mad for not playing their way. I truly don’t believe any other game has this weird ass fan base
FPS games, most competitive games tbh. People always see certain playstyles, weapons, perks etc as cheap because of how easy they are to do and use. Like cod for example people get mad when people use riot shields because you can’t shoot them. People also don’t like when people camp because of the advantage campers have. Some people don’t like doing these cheap things and stuff because of how easy it is to do like when you’re using the strongest stuff in the game and playing the most effective way you should win. For some people it’s not fun to play that way, for others all they care about is winning so they don’t care how they do it.
Eh to be honest you’ll see it a lot in FPS like COD and fighters like MK or SF. People will moan about camping in FPS or zoning in fighters. The things that remain constant throughout all PvP games are excuses and salt.
@@jessepinkman876 I feel like playing at a top level in most competitive games is just exploiting broken mechanics within the game.. is there much skill in that?
@ no there’s not really a lot of skill in it. It ends up becoming who can exploit the broken mechanics the best which is why some people don’t care to be the best and just play for fun.
The root problem about players deeming what is and isn’t toxic, the way this game is designed, will forever be flawed. It’s all about time management amongst five players, and anyone that feels like their time is wasted will feel annoyed. Reason being though is because your objective as survivor, realistically is to annoy the killer and waste as much of their time as possible. That way the gens can be completed/ pressure on teammates is minimized. Killers want to be as optimal as possible, and since that goes against the philosophy of what survivors need to do to win, both sides are kind of at a disagreement from the start on what is and isn’t toxic. Killer Examples being “toxic” - tunneling someone out efficiently, slugging, multiple slow downs, powerful killers/builds, random perks that counter survivor jank, protecting gens. All of that wastes survivors time/gameplan Flip side for survivors- second chance perks, flawed map design, blinding killers to waste more time tracking survivors, over powered items, etc etc. To end the ramble, no one wants to feel like their time is wasted, but the game structure literally is about wasting 1 persons time and effort to win efficiently, and the 1 persons goal is to waste the time invested on generators, healing, and running killers. But since most don’t think about the game from the lens of other players/the root requirement to win, it just develops this greasy hate for either side
That's all about perspective, isn't it? The point of the game as a survivor is to survive, yes? As a group, if you fail to power up all generators and power the exit gates, that's a fail as a team. However, if you personally escape through hatch and "survive", wouldn't that be a win for you? You didn't get sacrificed, moried, or bled out and I think you get MORE bloodpoints than escaping through door...
4:24 This is a common trend i see in majority of survivor content even from creators i like. Killer content is often so drastically different in tone and objective (not gens or hooks but the objective of what the viewer is there to see). Killer RUclipsrs I see are often trying to be educational and try to get a match that isn't over because of a gen speed but also isn't a hard stomp. Its about the builds strength and trying to do your best. Survivor content is so often a montage of using broken loops or chain blinding or chain stunning the killer because tbh the main objective of doing gens is very dull. There are far more videos about effectively bullying killers with certain builds or loops than there are about rushing gens. Its just kinda rude and cruel to watch survivor content at times. Not that it's unethical or anything. Just seems kinda rude.
Ye they arent doubting that i belive, they complaining is just them whining about it due to the killer holding them hostage and going great lenghts just to win the game... which they find quite desperate, thats what annoys them to my experience
i think its a pretty awsome strategy to slug half actually ive been watching most of your recent one where you do it and it make me want to try it because it do feel like you are getting punished for hooking
Basekit endurance, OTR, DS, among many others. Too many advantages to really play the way the devs nerfed by implementing a zero-sum game of "balance". So to avoid those, and gain modicum of fun again as killer, don't play the way the devs have railroaded the game and gave survivors buff after buff while giving killer nothing burger buffs and making almost every killer perk feel like a placebo at best. Yes, I'm ranting. These devs only want money so they pander to the bigger demographic
i think whats happening is when you slug people they get mad because they're stuck in their stream, lying on the floor, they lose a bit of streamer clout because its not as fun to watch, the e-girls watching aren't as impressed because they're not 360'ing you, can't d-strike you, and shit, etc etc
people just love trying to weaponize sympathy because their feelings got hurt. label everything that doesn't go their way as "toxic". we're truly living in the softest era...
Are you referring to him? Because True thinks that t-bagging is toxic, quite pathetic if you ask me. Getting mad over someone pressing ctrl a bunch lmao is quite soft.
There are variables, but for survivors, escaping via the gates means MMR up. Getting sacrificed or bleeding out means MMR down. For killer, sacrificing 3 or more survivors means MMR up. Sacrificing 1 or fewer survivors means MMR down. Sacrificing 2 means a draw. The game doesn't give or take away MMR from either side with a hatch escape. Hence, it doesn't count as an escape.
Hooking is no longer worthwhile and has become unattractive, thats true but 1 question: Why are players so upset that they can't see their own MMR number? I see more and more people getting upset about this and I don't understand them. Should BHVR display the MMR? and if "yes" why ?
Mmr is associated with skill when talking about dbd, so I think ppl would like to see what rank or”mmr” they’re placed in. Also I heard a killer say he’d go easier on survivors that got placed in his match that’s lower mmr than he is, so you got examples like that as well.
You're really losing it at this point, tru3. Play something else, this game isn't good for your soul. Who are all these content creators whose whole objective is ruining the game for killers? Zubat isn't. Otzdarva isn't. Hens isn't. Spooky isn't. Panda isn't. Tofu isn't. Scott isn't.

@IBlameJustin Tournaments that aren't official and ran by players. MMR that's so bad players that barely know the game fully can reach the top just by playing consistently. There's no real way to evaluate skill based on the current mmr. Devs balance based on what they feel makes the game most fair and fun. If they notice players are not enjoying a particular meta or whatever they change the game. The stats also do not properly translate to what an actual game of DBD looks like. Y'all are so desperate to consider this game competitive and the game is less comp then a standard game of Among us. The game doesn't consider hatch a "win" for the survivors, but it tells them it is. That's what I find annoying. It lets stupid people think they won.
