Hi, I have an 06 r53. So what the downtime on this and where would I be shipping it to? Also what are the benefits and HP yields with the porting? Thanks Albert
Hi Albert. We have a 2-3 day turn around right now. 7-10% gains with porting. Ship to: Stiegemeier Porting 2140 Old Hwy 94 S. St. Charles, MO 63303 Include note: Name Phone Number Email Address Ship Back Address Description of issue and desired services Double box for extra protection in shipping
When inspecting inside pto gear plate & front snout/pulling side what spec should I tighten the bolts? Do I need to use RTV (blue) gasket maker when closing it up? Also can you just rebuild the pto plate and it’s components? Mine have play...how much? Interested Danny
I just took the one off of my wife’s car and just like you said the rear gear is gone. I didn’t even realize that there was a gear there until you said something about it. If I was to send mine to you what is the turn around time? Thanks, Eddie
Thanks but now I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. The timing chain is shot, the transmission needs serviced ect. Not counting the cost of the supercharger it’s another $1000 in parts and if I couldn’t do the work myself probably at least $6000 in labor for everything that needs done. I don’t have any idea how the car was running and if I didn’t happen to ride with my wife to the store and hear it I think the thing would have locked up within a day or two. I took the belt tensioner off and it fell apart. But thanks for the help
So that's what happens to the gaskets as they just burn up on the water pump side ... common problem then... i'm doing a service on mine now... not a drop on the water pump side... the pulley side was 3/4 as i measured it out in container as i was curious to see how much they burn.... the oil was nearly black... i have only just purchased the car in my defence ... ps never trust someone when the say yeh i'm pretty sure the supercharged has been seviced ... usually it hasn't lol...
.the r53 LOVE 17% pullies . Lol I've had a 20% on for 20k HARD miles with 0 issues..if you have an auto or manual it's why they've made the 19 and 20s.
Bro do some more research. The best pulley for the r53 is the 15%. The 17%s cause excessive heat, that soaks both the supercharger and intercooler. They’ve also been known to cause excessive wear on the supercharger internals. The 17%s definitely give you more boost, which does give better acceleration at lower rpms and speeds, but for long extended pulls, the excess heat generated counteracts the additional boost. The 15% will perform the same or better at the top end, and isn’t generating all that dangerous excess heat. Also I dunno if that intercooler in your profile is the one you’re running, but unless there’s some sort of diverter setup you got goin on that I can’t see, that thing is likely becoming severely heat soaked as it’s not being isolated from the rest of the engine bay. I had a forge intercooler like that one, and it barely performed better than the stock one. My new airtec that has a built in diverter was a world of difference and actually reduced the intake temps to a safe level.
And just because you had a 20% on for 20k miles and it didn’t break anything during that time doesn’t mean anything. It’s the long term damage being done to the engine and supercharger.
@@SarahKeirano Auto doesn't have near the rpm so I order to get thevsane boost as a manual you need the 19 and 20% pullies.... I've built more than enough of these engines now to know what works and what doesnt... Btw. I will run a 19% on my manual mini again too because I got a ported head , sc horns , intake , larger tbody AND an electric water pump. So I guarantee the 19% will be more beneficial under these circumstances than a 15 or 17%..
I'm experimenting with a m62 I pulled off a 02 clk230 and my slk230 has a m45 that I'm just keeping stock. going to port the m62 with a smaller pulley bigger crankshaft pulley. hoping to pull 270 at least.
hey my brother could you maybe release us a video that shows us the gains from a ported rebuilt setup?
How much to replace the seal and bearings on the PTO end? both gears are in good shape

how do i get in contact i need those gears and maybe the bearing if you have them
It’s not the plate sealing that fails but the gasket behind the small gear that fails
