    I need this for my shop attic. Tired of climbing the ladder up while lugging heavy equipment 😁

    • @sunharvester
      @sunharvester  Год назад +1

      You could build the platform bigger so that you could accommodate things you going lift and yourself. If you were going to do that you would want to use a larger size hoist which is no big deal they have many different sizes on Amazon. Carrying heavy hings up a ladder is no fun😉

      The hoist is rated for 40 feet per minute single line. I definitely wanted a high speed hoist so it was a quick trip up and down.

  • @salabur

    That ended up very nice I have to say.
    Some questions came into my mind seeing this:
    what happens if for any reason the hatch is blocked? (Jammed, or someone put something on it?)
    would it be possible to have another cable so that the hatch closes automatically when the lift is at the lowest level so that no one can fall in if you forgot to close it (from family to burglar ;))?
    could a multi-stage emergency brake be implemented on the tracks? the height will not be healthy in case of a fall or I do not understand the safety belt thingy enough to bet "my" life
    Congratulations on the result anyway

    • @sunharvester
      @sunharvester  Год назад

      Fortunately, I live alone, and I never put anything on top of the hatch. I also have a set of steps outside of my building that I can use to gain access to the building if the hoist malfunctions. This is my first version of the lift, and one of the things I wanna add, is a linear actuator to the hatch door that will open with a push of a button. Thanks for checking it out and commenting!
