  • There are a number of things that the defense does that should affect what offensive plays you call in youth football. In this video we will explore just a few things a coach should notice when calling plays. Most importantly, how to read the Defensive End and respond to his ability and actions.

    Good stuff Coach! Most youth coaches just run plays without understanding why they should or shouldn’t be run. I also start with the DE/OLB, and it’s worked extremely well for me on the youth, middle and high school levels.

    Your videos are very helpful. Thank you! When you're running wishbone are all your backs in a 3point stance?

      When I run wishbone they are all in a two point stance. You could put the front player, the fullback, in a three point stance but the back two players are always in a two point stance.
