Saw her a few times in person and even sat next to her the next day while she had breakfast at her favorite restaurant in Laredo, Texas. What you saw on stage is the person she was in real life. Full of energy, innocent to the outside world, sweet as can be, always smiling and would chat with anyone. So talented and as you could see, she gave 100% in every song and never broke a sweat .
This Tex más cumbia, very popular in the 90s here in Texas, I actually live and work. 10 minutes away from the Astrodome were she performed this legendary concert and I live 50 minutes away from were she was born. Her brother on the keyboard wrote it. She had to learn Spanish, she spoke English as her first language. Her story is super interesting and tragic.
