- We all know that blue is the alpha of the Raptor Squad in Jurassic world. However, being that Delta was the most aggressive And seemingly most mature, Why wasn't she The alpha velociraptor?

Actually, in Jurassic World Alive. If you look at Echo's chart, it says she fought with Blue for dominance, but ended up having to get jaw surgery after losing.
This is true. She was also named Elvis in some early drafts because of the resulting smirk on her face caused by the scar. Unfortunately, the raptor squad’s character developing traits (including Delta’s round bird pupils) were scrapped in the final film for some reason.

Was Delta more bonded with Barry instead of Owen? I mean he did sense what she felt when he was talking to Hoskin (sorry bad with names). She knew that owen was the alpha but she may have just formed a tighter bond with barry as a companion.
Also when u see Barry petting delta she's calm and then Hoskins wants to pet she got aggressive but then Barry soothes her and Hoskins was able to make contact. I thought it was hilarious when Hoskins says have u ever opened one up to see what's inside and blue menace bellows her growl scaring hoskins
I think he was just experienced with all of the raptors, you don't need to be bonded with a dog to tell how it's feeling or what it's next move might be.

I believe Blue is alpha, because when the raptors became more mature, they begin to start deciding who is in what position, kind of like modern wolves. Blue may have been stronger than Delta, and was able to prove to the other raptors she was stronger, causing Delta to become beta. It’s just my theory on it.

Wolf packs is a family, it is the current mating pair, one wolf that is part of that pack, and one that isn’t that rules the pack, usually the female. The old and slow run in the front, the young and healthy in the middle and the matriarch and the patriarch in the back.

I remember from somewhere that Blue did have to defend her role as alpha from echo. And it makes sense cause Echo in all of her imagery has a large scar on her snout from blue also her beating Echo in a fight could have been a good way for the other 2 raptors to see Blue as the strongest member of the pack.

In JWFK, Owen *DID* say Delta was a Survivor from the *second* group.
He said that blue was from The *New* group.
Now, (we may be wrong but) We actually took this to mean that Blue is a *new* kind of raptor and Delta is more so based on the older types of raptors- or the *second* type. It doesn't specifically mean that Delta is older than blue although she does act like it.
Blue also looks significantly bigger in the video than Delta does, but that could equally mean that it's due to the way she's engineered.
Nevertheless, we Interpreted it to mean that Blue was part of the *NEW* group because she was a *NEW* type of raptor that they were experimenting on for docile behavior and hyper-intelligence; while Delta is more so based on the older types of raptor.

Owen is the alpha, but remember he is *not* a raptor. If he isn't around, then Blue is the alpha. Blue only assumes beta role when Owen is present.
If you raised a pack of wolves from birth, they would see you as their alpha, but there would *still* be an alpha *wolf* of the pack.

Owen says he's the alpha of the raptor pack because they listen (answer to him). When he is not around, BLUE is the alpha. Owen wouldn't live with them in the wild, so barring Owen's presence, BLUE *is* the alpha because she is the MOST dominant of the raptors.
*Without* her pack, Owen is Blue's alpha and she is alpha over no one.
Again, if you own a pack of dogs, yes, you are considered their alpha. HOWEVER, notice.... there is one dog that is more dominant than the rest; one that would lead the others in your absence or if they were wild. THAT is the alpha.
*Definition of alpha in Zoology*:
denoting the dominant animal or human in a *particular group*.
Ergo,
Owen + raptors = Owen(alpha)/raptors
Raptors - Owen = Blue(alpha)/other raptors
Further proof of Blue being the alpha (or dominant one over her siblings - *not Owen*) is in the footage from JWFK when the raptors are babies. They don't listen to Owen until Blue MAKES them listen.
ALSO.... If Owen ... did NOT have Blue there, it's already been suggested that the other raptors would tear him to shreds.
At the end of Jurassic World when the I-rex knocked over Blue, the raptors were more inclined to listen to Owen due to the bigger threat having been the I-rex that just hurt their sister.
Had Blue died way ahead of time and the other raptors remained, Delta most likely would have taken Blue's place and she would have killed Owen.

I think Blue is the leader, and not Delta, not only because she was born first. Blue was the only raptor who combined empathy and leadership. Having empathy gave Blue better social skills. Delta was a sociopath. Just like most raptors. In a way, Blue's empathy make her the most human-like dinosaur in the franchise, which make her more intelligent and more capable to lead.
Echo actually battled Blue for pack dominance in her youth, but lost and had to get surgery on her jaw because of it. Surprised Delta didn't challenge her if I'm honest.

Owen was only the alpha because they imprinted on him, but he isn't a raptor. Therefore, UNDER him, Blue is the alpha of her pack. Had Owen not been in the equation, she probably would still be the alpha.

Blue was the *beta* because she was the one who took charge. When Owen talked, you saw that she was the one who took charge and got the others to settle down. Maybe she had proved her dominance somehow over the others? It seems like the smarter ones get leadership roles, like the big one.
This is the same as a human telling another human that they are the "alpha" of their dogs.. They truly aren't, sure they are the provider of food and giver of commands but they are simply just the OWNER not the alpha.. It just doesn't work that way 😂

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in jwfk, in the video of Owen and the baby raptors Owen says that delta is from the second batch, while blue is from the 'new' batch. Surely this makes delta the oldest. Also delta acts smarter than blue in jworld. Blues compassion would surely be seen as a weekness, easily falling for, let's say, the in Indominus Rex's ideology. I know it probably looks like I'm just a delta fanboy, which is most likely true. Please could someone clear this up for me?

I’ve always thought that Blue looks like the Jurassic Park 3 male Velociraptor. What if that raptor was the first attempt at making Blue? What if Blue was made from the same DNA, but they figured out a way to make her different from her sisters. Maybe Blue is the way she is around humans because she wasn’t prodded all the time, they loved her, she wasn’t kept in a 2x2 dome and tested on. In the documentaries Owen has on his file, that is probably where Blue stayed her whole life, this is probably what they meant by New Group, the variable if I may put that in a scientific term. Blue was the “Variable”, her sisters were born like the Velociraptors from the first movie. Tested on until the sun went down. I don’t know about Charlie as she was young and probably trying to follow Blue’s footsteps, before she is blown up you can see she is trying to recognize who Owen is, but before she can finish she is blown up.
If Delta was the beta then Bary would be the alpha. And I think Echo is the most aggressive one out of 4.

A lot of people are pointing out that it was Echo who challenged Blue, not Delta. I’d just like to put my opinion in this. Since raptors follow pack mentality, let’s follow that kind of idea. Pack animals display their dominance at young ages, which Blue clearly did. Siblings grow up often challenging each other constantly, so if we follow that, we can assume that Delta most likely challenged Blue at several points when they were much smaller and younger - and probably lost. Which would explain why she didn’t challenge Blue when they grew up. So why did Echo? In JW2 it was explained that the raptors would attack once weakness was shown, perhaps an interaction with Owen or another raptor made Echo believe Blue wasn’t fit for Alpha, and attacked. Seeing how badly she lost, it was likely that after that interaction the siblings didn’t often challenge her again.
I’m awful at explaining - but I’m basically saying that Delta probably lost when they were lil baby raptors, and didn’t take the chance to challenge Blue when she was older. After Echo’s lost, it was clear on where everyone stood.

Echo is the only one who fought for dominic. And the reason delta didn't fight was because she's smart. She had the most bird DNA, making her more of a thinker, like Blue, and she knew she couldn't defeat blue.

Blue wasn't the alpha, they portrayed Owen to be the alpha. Now, when it comes to training animals, yes you need to be the top of the pack in their eyes to listen to you. Owen was shown clicker training but he was doing it very wrong, clicking and clicking to get their attention. I wish the movie director would have researched about clicker training, you click and reward good behavior, that's it. The clicker has a unique sound that'll immediately always translate as reward.
