I'm glad it's helpful. I was in the same place as you, couldn't find many videos that broke down the learning process of the tricks enough, so I started making them.
Been working on this trick for awhile now I got the pivot and glide just trying to figure out the dismount now your tutorial was helpful I'm going to work on the backwards peg ride thing now
@@flatlandjourney I can actually get into the glide with ease and ride in that position for as long as I want still no luck on the dismount though. I'm trying a different approach now by tapping the front brakes and stepping on the frame .
Ya that part is difficult. Are you getting stuck on the part where you need to lean the bike down and move around the bars? There are other ways to get out of it. If you use the front brake you can also jump, turn and try to land on the pedals. But I think it’s a little harder.
@@flatlandjourney thank you I'm actually not being able to make the foot switch on my peg I'll give that a try. I'll be happy to land it any way I can fllatland is a very difficult displine to learn but I am dedicated to learning this fork glide no matter how long it takes me!
spent an hour today working on the glide (no pivot yet).im terrible at this and im better at both feet on the pegs than one...which is frustrating. but its day one of trying it. im on my wifes FitBike PRK because my colony apprentice arrives monday! yay! that was on your recommendation btw 😬. this stuff is soo much harder than i thought and its great. keep rockin dude 🤙
So stoked for you man. The steamroller will take a little while to get the whole trick, but keep having fun with it. Make sure you learn the fork glide before you try to do the full steamroller. How do you like the prk so far?
@@flatlandjourney its snazzy as all get out! 2021 gold edition. I watched an AdamlZ vid on how to bunny hop higher and now the rear rim isn’t true anymore lol. And im only hopping over a safety cone laying on its side. So the bike feels great but the rims are absolute trash lol. Its fine. She just wants to cruise downtown with me from time to time. I wonder how the colony will be for hopping. Probs need to upgrade wheels. Would you ever upgrade forks on it to 25* instead of the zero? Never ridden zeroes…
Ya, the Colony is a a higher quality bike and the rims will be stronger. You may want to watch a few videos on how to true up a wheel. It’s something you can learn and would be worth it to learn since it is part of routine maintenance.
@@flatlandjourney it just arrived early this morning!! heck yes it's happening! 🤙 edit: i did watch truing vids yesterday. ordered some parktool things. should be here sunday/monday. very exciting stuff!
Man this is EXACTLY what I’ve been trying to find! Got into bmx at 34 and couldn’t find anyone that showed these fundamentals. Thanks dude!

How is the fork glide coming along? Ya, the dismount is tricky to learn. It definitely took me a while to get it down.
