In 2008 Eivind Rølles was diagnosed with cancer, but continued to work behind the scenes in the music industry. In 2012 Lage Fosheim was also diagnosed with cancer. Both died during 2013, Rølles on the 18th of March (aged 54), and Fosheim on the 19th of October (aged 55). Thanks to Lage and Eivind for making this wonderful song and sharing it to the world.
Dear Ewa! Today It's been ten years since you died. I'm sure you remember this evening. The sailing, the funny guys from Halden. Everything! This song. My silly fish soup. How we fell in love with those crazy dudes.. Thank you! You gave me a wonderful life!
I remember them from the Sopot festival when I was a child. We loved them, me and my friend. And they were from behind the iron curtain. We dreamt about the West.
Tja. Egentlig latin da. Requiescat in pace.
Hvil i fred Eivind Rølles (1959 - 2013) & Lage Fosheim (1958 - 2013).
To jest jeden z najpiękniejszych kawałków jakich w tym wcieleniu mogłem usłyszeć mój Ojciec Was kochał i kocham Was i ja chociaż jestem tylko takim zwykłym Tomkiem ale KOCHAM WAS
R.I.P Lage Fosheim. Cheerio, cheerio - bye bye Cheerio-o, it's too late to try Cos' I miss you in the morning And I need you every night Cheerio-o, cheerio - bye bye
@slonik01 it's not the only "best song", hey, I mean it's amazing and I love it, but other Scandinavian people has written loads of amazing songs too. Alexander Rybak, Ravi (if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have known this one), even Donkeyboy, a-ha, Robyn, ABBA and so much more! I would also remind you of some amazing composers, such as Edward Grieg or nice instrumental groups such as Secret Garden don't think about Scandinavia in such a rough way, hey, Scandinavia is awesome!.
@ollebolle92 Cheerio is described as being an inferior person not taking responsibility for its actions, an “misforgotten child" who were “running wild”. The superior person says "for a moment we were lover, for a moment you where mine" and that "Cheerio it’s to late to cry", clearly the damage is already done and Cheerio “couldn’t take the fight”. The two persons are closely connected to each other “I could to live without you”. The characteristics of a abusive relationship is striking.
One of the best achivements from a Norwegian band to get their songs on MTV in 1983. Sunday People and Cherio were borh hits.
