I'm sure I'm not the only ancient that's pointing this out but, Sarah skipped right over the Walkman which was more portable and a little less clunky(it took them a while to figure out how to stop skipping when you're walking around with the Diskman).
So crazy how tech has grown and how times have changed throughout the years! What a time to be alive right now. Thanks for the great history throwback 😀
It's incredible to have been born in the 90s to experience the technology revolution from the beginning.
Odds are the reason the TV didn’t work is because in 2009 they got rid of all analog TV stations and that’s what that TV ran on and the reason it probably got hot was it was trying to find a signal or it had an issue, but technically, if you found the right stuff, you could probably make it functional. There are converters that would make it function.
Or maybe it was set to 220!!! Instead of 120v?

My great grandpa was born in 1932 and is 92 years old. Its so amazing to see what he had to go through and what it was like instead of just asking and still not knowing! Im so greatful for you and your channel!

What an amazing video and seeing how much tech changes. Especially as a 90's kid seeing how fast tech evolved. Sarah I think for next year you should go to CES it's a massive tech show. It showcases tech coming out within the year but future tech ideas. also you looked amazing 🤩 in each of those outfits you did for each year.

things you skipped: VCRs (70s-00s) Blockbuster video; mix tapes (cassette) - subject of a great John Cusack 90s movie), the IBM PC and the Mac in the 80s, Windows PCs in the 90s, Windows XP in the 2000s, component home audio systems (70s to now). If you decide to make another video like this, talk to your parents and grandparents, or reach out to retro tech creators. they'll have lots of ideas and info for you. e.g. on the Apple II (and Radio Shack TRS 80), the first spreadsheet and word processing software programs widely sold. (you kids call them apps.)
