When I listen to this song I always get these vibez of “everything’s ok”
I was crying the other day thinking of my grandmother who passed a couple years ago who was as close as a parent to me. I took care of her for ten years since I was five with my family until she passed. I would come straight home almost every day from school since then to take care of her, and we sacrificed a lot to do it because she took care of us, and it was the right thing to do to take care of her. I am 17 now, and I had so many regrets when it came to her. She was the kindest person who made the world seem beautiful. In the end, I did not comfort her as much as I should have, and done more to help out as I feel I could have, and the biggest regret is that even though I was five when she started needing help, I never got to ask her the things I would have today that mattered. She was my only chance to be a granddaughter, the others passed away before I was born, and I felt like I was a horrible one despite what anyone else would think. I felt like I let her down, and I prayed for answers and to make sure she was okay, and finally, after two years of breakdowns and prayers for her ( I love her so much it hurts,) this song came on about halfway through saying, "She's proud of me." Hearing it for the first time I heard "she's proud of you." I don't know why I am writing all this but thank you for letting me share this, and please remember, if you have a grandparent, you are so blessed to get to visit them. I had the honor of taking care of my grandmother, but I never got to visit my grandparents. Never forget how much of a blessing they are to you, and especially how much you are to them. God Bless anyone who reads this. Thank you for this beautiful song!!!

When I was younger this song was me, I got older went to school for business and my mom stepped down and I took over all of them, I'm 33 now and my mom recently passed, but before she did she told me how proud she was of me and how much she loved me, so as I'm listening to this song I can't hold back the tears, Thanks James Arthur ❤
I can say I have seriously lived some of your songs, especially this one. I sense a narcissist in your life, especially in these lyrics and this past year I've had such a fight just like this within myself. I've spent my whole life trying to prove my worth to someone dear, and I feel like that bar gets moved higher every time I get close to it. Our behavior isn't always just on us my friend, sometimes it's built. I've been learning that I have to create a space for new behavior for me and realize I wasn't put here to prove value to them. It hurts, but it is what it is.
Please know that to me and my 13 year old son, your songs and the way you sing them breathe life and not everyone can do that.

There's loads of James Arthur stuff out there,tracks that are not on albums. One of my favourites is "At my weakest", how this song wasn't a big hit i'll never know.
