    Are your rims satin silver or satin black? Thanks in advanced !

    You sanded a larger area than needed, doing further damage. You can add bondo filler to build up the chunk taken out, but if you had just sanded the curbed area with the foam sanding block it would have turned out far better. Good 1st attempt, go slower next time.

    Should have added rotary tool and heat gun to your little supply list

      If it was better than a "5 foot fix", then absolutely. You can definitely go down a rabbit hole with anything like that

    What width tire do you have up front? Guessing factory 235-35-20. I seen you have another video showing 275-30-20 square works on those wheels. I’m wondering if you could have avoided that rash with 275?

      When I got the curb rash it was the stock 235/35R20s. The 275s do a better job of covering the lip of the wheel, and specifically the Michelin PS4S tires have a piece of the tire designed to protect the lips of the wheels from curb rash, so there are a few options for better protection from curb rash.

      @@maxlife438 would you say the 275s are durable against potholes? I just got my M3P less than a week ago and the 235s side wall got damaged with a minor pot hole.

      Will this tire size fit on a 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance that normally runs with the 235/35ZR20/XL 92Y?

      Yes, that is my exact model.
      I just put my summer tires on with the stock Uberturbines, and I have 275/30R20 Pirellis P Zeros on all 4 corners with no rubbing

      I can't say, although they do seem to protect the wheels better. I went to a smaller wheel size and higher profile tire for my winter set to help protect against potholes and other damage.

    What filler can you use?

    you were triggering me with the IPA splashing all over the body paint.

      Excellent point. There is a true ceramic coating on the paint, so it isn't a big deal in my case, but if I did not have that, you are right- it would need to come off immediately!

    Definitely not the best way to do that repair. Lol

      @maxlife438  2 года назад +1

      You can definitely go crazy with it, but most people aren't going to pull the wheel, remove the tire, sand, fill, prime, and paint for anything other than a show car.
      That works fine for a "5 foot repair", anyone can do it, and doesn't really cost much at all

    I must disagree… The best way is most likely don’t let your wife drive your car!
