Because of stiffness, Fan Zhen Dong's backhand has lot of power, but little spin. Removing any locking in elbow and arm will allow youi to achieve both maxim spin and power, just like the forehand strike

Zhang jike has similar style, but slightly lower position of the elbow. High elbow position requires more forward leaning during backhand attack.

I am trying to imitate Lin Yun Ju's backhand technique. It did gave me a lot more power and flexibility!

I think Lin raised his hand at higher position than other players, and the elbow angle is much more flexible than other players in the backhand position. This creates a lot more range of motion and flexibility for enhanced power and balance

Zhagn jike and Fan Zhendong's backhand is higher in elbow position and use more shoulder and arm. But yu really need to go to Lin Yun Ju's extreme elbow flexibity to unleash the full power and spin of the backhand.

lower elbow position may be more steady, but creates limited range of motion and more stiff.

Lin Y J great baclhand flick on serve returns! To my humble opinion he is the future number1 of tt. Few players can push Fan ZD back away from table and control most of rallies against Fan ZD the way he does. Very calm and composed he doesnt spend energy in over-celebrating points like Harimoto. But to make the crowds support him.more he will need to develop a bit of persona lin the examples of Ma Long "the dictator" or a bit of artistry like Xu Xin "the superman". Until a player has a sound nicknamefrom journalists and commentators they are not star yet whatever great techniques they have.

Malong's backhand is also awkwardly low in elbow. He wins battles not because of his backhand, but despite of his poor backhand.

This way, he involved more of his arm and forearm to create the attack force. Regular backhand mainly rely on the forearm and wrist to generate force. The arm and elbow is usually more inactive in regular backhand. I believe all players should use Lin Jun Ju's backhand technique in future. There is no point in sticking to the rigid backhand. You can See how stiff Lin Gao Yuan's backhand elbow is!

Lin Gaoyuan's backhand is stiff? Bahaha... I really love these internet experts who think they know table tennis enough and give themselves the right to comment on elite players technique ... Creator of this video is similar to you, but you are on a different level 😂

@@draganzarubica5388 I can see big differences. Lin Gaoyuan's backhand is very awkward. I think mine is better. Of course he is very drilled with his backhand
