- A run through of what I carry in my pack, when I'm out in the woods.
I see these as the essential items needed, for anything up to 24 hours in the woods.
The fleece I'm wearing is waterproof, and the trousers are winter lined. If I'm expecting wet, or cold weather, I will wear, or pack other clothing.
The 14Kg weight includes food, water, tripod, and the Sony action cam I use.
Always interesting to see what others carry.

I forgot to go into more detail about some of the things, but like you say, people are often interested in the kit being carried, even if it's not too detailed. :)

Very well kitted out for a day trip Adam, but you are right you never know when you might need to stay out so better safe than sorry. ATB Jeff
Plus it's good practice to carry a decent pack weight. Helps keep you a little fitter... Well, that's the theory anyway lol.
You're carrying 30 pounds in a day pack? And I catch heat because my 3 day get-home-bag is down to 34 pounds. I love the day pack and get-home-bag videos. Lots of ideas to pick up. Nice video!

Should really put my Milbank bag in, but I think it covers most of the bases. Maybe a larger first aid kit in the pack, and the small one on my belt, would be better too.
