Pure Magic. My wife is from Dundee. She teaches me everything about Scotland. I am Canadian. So proud of my wife. So beautiful. Big brown eyes and flowing brunette hair. Love everything about the old country.
Every time I listen you, something in the deepest part of my hearth brings me in heaven....thanks you all and have care of Scotland...with love from Italy!
This is one of the most moving renditions of the song "Loch Lomond." The beginning narrative tells the chillingly apocryphal tale of how this song came to be made.
Learned to sing this & then on pipes as child. That is,after 3 yrs of "London Bridges falling down" Full notes ½, ¼, ⅛, etc. Beautiful rendition. Had never known story behind it or sings meaning. Thank You. Your in Layality & Liberality, DRGunnWms
Wonderful performance! We understand the limitations for filming and I marvel at the growth of the technology that allows you to create and share this art with us under distanced conditions. Brings a smile to my day, so thank you.
Jane I'm a big fan of yours... I love the way you play the pipes love your style your music always sounds so graceful and soothing so peaceful to my heart n soul I'd love to see you live someday but that would be only a dream for me..
This is so beautiful it makes me want to cry, WELL DONE! me and my wonderful wife cycled from Cairnryan to Orkney, and we sang Loch Lomond beside Loch Lomond :-)
Up until now, I did not hear a version that i liked as much as Runrig's. After about 20 years since I first heard the song: You just did it. Well done!
Absolutely wonderful and perfect. Many thanks to all of you, your video is a gift. Stay well, safe, resist and keep on with your great music. Best regards from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Scotland.
Absolutely stunning! I love your playing so much, I was barely able to hold back tears, it just spoke to me, I can now inspiration from a fellow Scot, I have quite the Scottish family history, the McTaggart's and Alexander's, both of which are mostly from the west then eventually the east, in fact quite near and surrounding Loch Lomond itself but I myself am an Australian, they all moved here over time from late 18th to late 19th centuries, I hope to see Scotland soon! I've never been.
Hi Jane and friends . I had no idear that Loch Lomond was the story of what really happend they didnt teach us that in school . Now i know so now will others . Ps another grand tune . Bless be to ye all .
Perfect, just like always. Jane, the phantom piper, could you perform Bonnie Portmore ? I really would like to hear you playing this beautiful song. And i'm not alone wishing this
Jetzt liebe ich die Lieder von Jene Espie weil Sie wohl die beste Dudelsack Spielerin ist ! heard this song for the first time on the Loreley in Germany where the group RANRIG had a performance! RANRIG is something special because they also sing many deliveries in Gaelic! Yes, and since that time I've had all of RANRIG's CDs! Now I love the songs of Jene Espie because she is arguably the best bagpipe player! Now I hope the Covid will be over soon and I will have a concert with Jane Espie one day
This is really amazing. I've heard may versions of this song, but this is far the best! Very impressive. Also the video is great! Perfect. Thanks for sharing this beautifull song.
you bring such emotion out in the voice of the pipes. thank you for this video, you are a very talented young woman. the others you joined you in this video all came together perfectly for a sorrowful rendition. outstanding.
Scotland welcomes you anytime. I have been to the Isle of Arran and it’s absolutely beautiful. Worth a visit. I must go back there one day. Be sure to make a road trip of Scotland when you are hear. So much to see
Loch Lomond always was (and still is) one of my favourite scottish songs, and despite many people see this as a RunRig-song, it is a great traditional hymn for those, having fought at Culloden - no matter, if they had to take back the High Road or the Low Road. Thanks for the intro with the spoken words, so that the historical context gets clear to all those listeners, who think of this song only as a romantic ballad about a lake in the Lowlands. BTW: I first saw your band Celtica @ the Festival in Hagen-Hohenlimburg 2013, where my former band had been really proud to be in the same line-up with yours ;-)
Loved this!! Videos like this continue my love for Scotland and my wish to be even a little Scottish❤️💙🤍💙🏴(Also, I feel bad I was the 421 person to like this, ruined a amusing number)
