Thanks for your feedback. I do have another video on Jekyll and Hyde where I specifically look at quotes related to Dr Jekyll, so perhaps that could provide you with a bit more detail. The idea behind my '10 Most Important Quotes' series is to give people a greater, more comprehensive understanding of plays/novels in a matter of minutes while providing them with some insights they may not have heard before, but I will definitely keep in mind what you have said when writing future videos.

Wats the moral of the story
Stevenson is asking us to think about good and evil and asking what would happen if we allowed ourselves total freedom to do what we desire. In that sense one conclusion would be that repressing our desires can make us unhappy, but exercising our liberty without restraint can (and often does) make others suffer - and ultimately will make us suffer ourselves. Hope that's useful and good luck with the exam.
Is "genial" a quote for Lanyon?
Jess: Yes, the term 'genial' refers to Lanyon. You can find it on page 12 of the Penguin edition of the play. It reads: "The geniality, as was the way of the man, was somewhat theatrical to the eye; but it reposed on genuine feeling'. In other words, Lanyon is very demonstrative and may seem to be faking his affection for Utterson; but Utterson (who knows him well) realises that he is genuinely friendly.

I don't agree with a lot of these statements in this video, especially the last one. How can you say Jekyll wanted to separate the good part from the evil part so that he could enjoy doing evil acts(paraphrasing) without feeling guilty, when it's him, as his normal self, who knowingly unleashes Hyde onto the world, not to mention the fact that he shares the same memory with Hyde, and thus enjoys Hyde's terrible acts. It's a bit like a person who watches a video of a terrible crime that they themselves wished they could commit. They may claim to be good because they didn't actually do the act, but nevertheless they wanted to. Therefore, they are not good. It's even worse for Jekyll since he turns himself into pure evil on purpose, a wicked entity that has no restraint. It's like a person hiring a criminal to carry out and video a particular crime so that it can be watched for pleasure by that person later on. Nobody in their right mind who did something like that would ever think they are guilt free simply because they didn't actually commit the crime. Jekyll is indulging in massive self-deception, and I don't know whether the author intended that or whether he came up with a flawed concept.

He didn't kill himself Hyde was takin controll and the next time he changes he becomes Hyde forever
At the point where Utterson and Poole are breaking in to Jekyll's cabinet (Jekyll is trapped inside as Mr Hyde), Hyde cannot change back into Jekyll (Hyde has grown too strong) and is panicking. When Utterson and Poole finally break the door down Hyde takes a poison that kills him. This is because he cannot bear to be confronted in his current state, because assumptions will be made and - 1. He is a wanted murderer, and 2. Utterson wont belive him that he truely is Jekyll under the face of Hyde.
If Jekyll knew the ending, would he still create Hyde ?
