I can't say I blame him. These jerks ruin the experience of concerts all the time for the rest of us. I can't tell you how many concerts I've left because of the bad behavior of others around me. I too wished they would stop serving alcohol at these events. I was at one at our state fair. I had my children at the fair that day and Kenny Chesney was performing that night at the grandstand. I paid quit a bit for tickets for about7 of us to go. About half way through the concert. Three very drunk cowboys came in and set down behind us each one of them had a beer in each hand. They were carrying on jumping and all. Spilling their beers all over us. So I turned around and asked them very politely to sit down and stop spilling their beers all over us. But instead they chose to do it even more. None of them looked to be more than 16 or 17 years old. And there was highway patrol men every where. So I went down there to tell them about their ages. They told me there was nothing they could do. So I went back to my family and told them we were leaving. We all rocked of beer horribley.on the way home, I got pulled over by a policeman. I had

    Dearest Jamey,
Thank you for also speaking to unruly audience members. Aaron, Zach and Morgan , many thanks to you as well.
Throughout these last weeks, many hardships have been in each of our lives. Sickness and death, famine and disease, heartaches and striff ,economic conditions that have crippled the USA and so many other things that gives such more saddness to the evidence of a lack of discipline within people- regardless of age.
Artists perform more then 2 hour shows. They are on the road constantly city to city, state to state and country to country. They are away from their loved ones. They miss cookouts with neighbors, birthday parties for their kids, and parents. They practice, they write & rewrite. They fuss. They make up. They wear laundry they have to do. They sleep on busses, live out of hotels. And,,they feel sick sometimes. GOSH… let me stop.
Manners and good behavior, being kind and smiling costs nothing . It is more precious than anything a dollar could ever ourchase.
So, the folks that do not behave responsibly- leave . Better thought- don’t go to the show! Others are there to enjoy.

They should be ashamed for such disrespectful behavior. I love this guy & his music and don't blame him one bit either for not wanting to deal with that crap from people. As we say in the South, that just ain't right & he especially don't deserve that.
Thank you Jamey for your music and being who you are. God bless you, the South & America. We sure do need it now more than ever. 🇺🇲🙏😊

Good for him! It’s unfortunate for his true fans that were at the show.

What I love is he challenged the anonymous asshole in the crowd that said “F-you”…I guess that brave man wasn’t so brave after all.

He said if you think I'm wrong come up here and tell me. And nobody went up there. 😂
I think he did the right thing by leaving.

I saw Jamie at Lake of the Ozarks, MO 2020 he was fantastic not one person acted out of line. The assholes that made him walk off stage does not have a clue of what a great concert he puts on. They don’t deserve to see Jamie play….

I agree he did the right thing. We were at a concert and the people behind us were loud and talking about football and where they were going to continue drinking after the concert. It was so annoying,we go to a concert for the music a lot of people just go to get drunk. They can do that anywhere.

This happened to me recently at a Darrell Scott concert. A couple of guys come in half way through and spend the rest of the night talking. And of course, they had to talk loud to hear each other over the music, which means everyone else had to listen to their conversation. I'll never understand why people pay for tickets to a concert and then talk through it. It makes no sense at all.

I don't blame him either. I personally can't stand going to concerts when the people around you continuously talk and are disruptive so that you can't hear the artist. It's so disrespectful. 🤘🎶

I love Jamey Johnson and have seen him a few times at HOB in Myrtle Beach SC. I let my whiskey talk to a man 4 times my size one night. I told him that I came to hear Jamey not him. Needless to say he wound up ashamed of himself and moved far enough away I couldn't hear him anymore. I don't even think he knew Jamey's music.
If you're going to a bar looking for a guy or lady, do everyone a favor and don't go to a concert. Especially one that I'm at, especially a Jamey Johnson concert.
He's the only man that I came to see.

I don't blame him!! Honestly I've been to many concerts of all music. This is the first year I skipped my yearly country concerts. I pay good money to see the artist. But yet some of the fans ruin it for so many. Last year I had someone throw up on me. Front row seats, great artist and yet I had to leave. It was bad!

As a retired performer I know how crowds can be. Unfortunately can't really dictate the crowds attitude. I always look this this way I was there to play music, and if I couldn't hear it then I'm turning it up. Unfortunately a lot of people pay tickets to come to see you. I mean unless it was a free concert, and I don't really believe a performer should walk off in the middle of a show. I would have just stopped that song and went to a faster song something alive in the place up. But I do understand when performers do that and they just get frustrated with the crowd. Each person does it differently I guess. I have total respect for Jamey Johnson. If that was his way of dealing with it then so be it. It's not for me to criticize him. I've actually played in bars where people threw beer bottles at us behind a cage, of course that was out in the Midwest where things can get a little dicey. Anyway God bless him and I hope he does go back to do another concert sometime. Maybe then people show just a little bit more respect, one can only hope.
