I love the step-by-step process of developing the plots and explaining your thinking and reasoning for each step. I also love the iteration where your earlier elements are superseded and replaced by better subsequent stops. To me, this is not primarily an introduction to plotnine--it is a general demonstration of the elegance of the grammar of graphics (whether in R or Python). Even more, it is a beautiful demonstration of the critical thinking involved in the development of an effective data visualization. And I'm especially thrilled to see this come out of Africa! (I'm Nigerian.)
