Kids are always eager to grow up. It’s so important for parents to really talk to them about why you’re giving them rules setting boundaries for them. “Because I said so” doesn’t always work. Be honest with them while you’re being firm; firm doesn’t mean rigid. Thanks for sharing this video, Luis. I hope young people and parents learn from it.
“Eager to grow up” do you even hear yourself. Children aren’t dogs/objects that you can what to do and what not to do. They’re entitled to a vacation with their friends WITHOUT an afult
I can relate to this. Kids are always ready to grow up. It's really, really important for parents to seriously talk to them about how important rules and boundaries are for them. Saying "Because I said so" won't always work. Being honest with them while being stern; within good reason helps. Young people who have both parents should learn something like this.
The dad reminds me of my dad. “There are crazy people out there!” Is exactly what my dad would say. Ughhhh the frustration! My dad yells, we fight, he gets angry, he says that I’m being unfair and than he apologizes for getting angry. That’s how it is every time!
Sunni, not to "sound like your dad" but, there is crazy people out there! So many people that want to kidnap children and teenagers. Its not just a made up fairytale, there is actually people out there that do that!
isn't as controlling as it looks, it's actually the freedom to know that even when you feel lost or confused, you have your parents to protect you. You wouldn't feel as free if you were kidnapped or just starved on the streets! You should know if your parents care!
The fact is, your parents just want to know that you've learned to be able to handle issues before they leave you out. Being young, you have new emotions to get used too, confusion and struggle supporting yourself, and your parents just want to see that you have grown well, that you are able to handle yourself when the day comes, but as you are young, they are just their to help. And believe me, it isn't a sign of mistrust, we just know that when we were young, we struggled keeping ourselves supported and safe too, but we either had parents who helped or we could of had no one and it gets scary, but I know what life is like to say, it isn
Hi Luis, This is an important message for teens. This bad experience made the girl think twice that her father is not a bad guy, he means her well. I love the sweet ending. Thanks for sharing this episode that I enjoyed watching. Be safe brother. 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Her dad seems so controlling like she wanted to ask her dad a question and he didn't even want to hear his daughter out what a great parent and there's nothing wrong with her being nice and cleaning up the around the house
That’s more of hitchhiking than kidnapping. Until it got to the weird questions. But if it was kidnapping, he probably wouldn’t have let her out that car
Advice for Young guys: Had a bad day? Think about how you’ll laugh back on this day when you write a book on your life. It’s barely going to be 2 sentences out of 400 pages. Keep growing.
There Are Alot Of Responsibilities As Being A Parent, And The Joy Of Takin' Good Care Of Your Child Is One Of Them... Never Be In A Hurry To Grow Up, It May Seem Unfair Right Now, But Most Parents Are Concerned About Their Child's Safety And Have Their Best Interest At Heart! And Some Day When The Child Gets Older & Look Back, They May Come To Realize Exactly How Much Their Parents Really "DO" Love Them
A part of me wants to ask this question to most teenagers: Who's worse - controlling and protective parents or perverted and dangerous child predators?
That was scary and I am glad that nothing happened to her. This 15 year old learned a big lesson and won’t likely make that mistake again. Her Dad is a super guy really and I think he has learned a lot too.
That is a big mistake to skip school and excepting a ride from a stranger another big mistake being hard headed not listening to your parents is another big mistake..some young people have to learn the hard way that could have turned out differently. She was lucky that nothing happend to her. This was a good video. Life Lessons great name for these videos thank you for sharing..I learned a lot from this video
I know that being a single parent is not easy ,and I raised three teenage daughters ,I only want what's best for them because we know that there's so much evil out there that we want to protect them all the time ,so I get where the dad is coming from he just want to protect her .
I get teens want to be independent and hang out with friends But its important for parents to know where there teen is going and who they are with and for parents to set boundaries for safety and to be home at a certain time ....
As a parent of a 16 year old, being too strict can make your kid rebellious (I went through that). Not paying attention to your child at all and letting them run amok is no good either. There has to be boundaries and rules but love and trust too. And you have to listen to them above all. Even when they aren't saying anything.
Yes I have a 16 year old daughter but I am lucky we are able to talk I want her to not ever be afraid to talk to me and keep our boundaries as mother daughter but she's also my best friend
Kids will be kids! Teens will be teens! Let them have fun 🤩 Y’all so called parents gotta chill out. Don’t make such a big deal about it. Young adults deserve freedom by the way
Wow how amazing I am so glad this young lady learn her lesson her life was at risk with this dude that wanted to kidnap her but thankfully she was able to learn that her dad only did these things for her own safety for the love he has for her and he will always have
To all the parents and guardians out there watch your kids 👧🏻 👦🏻 know what they’re doing know where they’re going because be aware everybody is not your friend
The Moral Lesson is: Never ditch school to go whatever place you wanted, because you can get kidnapped! And kidnapped someone is a serious crime. That's why you should go to school because school is way important.
OMG!! You know what Luis you right our parents do know what’s best for you so listen to them Don’t be in a hurry to grow up their will always be time for doing things on your own . And Luis you never disappoint us in your content snd this one was great . Jeep them coming . God Bless
I honestly think the comments and this dad is wrong. It's one thing to prohibit sleepovers when you don't know the other parents, but micromanaging where a teen goes when they're 15/16 during the daytime is honestly a bit much. That's not "setting boundaries" it's being overcontrolling. and absolutely let your kids grow up if that's what they want. Just make sure they grow up in a mature way. Not everything should be about "following rules" it's putting a good head on your child's shoulders by ALLOWING them to feel responsible so they can do more independent things.
Kids at that age are really excited to grow up real fast . There are consequences if you don't follow your parents rules and regulations. As always Luis beautiful vid. 👍👍💯🙏🙏
Yea parents/adults are always like “why are you disrespecting me you’re a child” when they get mad and assume that their always right. It’s so annoying my dad does it all the time
There are teenagers who ditched school, got involved in something they had no business and regretted it, while others went to school and did what they suppose to do so they wouldn't get themselves into trouble
My teenager was diagnosed with epilepsy last year, ever since his first seizure I find it very hard letting him do things, I do though and my anxiety levels are sky high
She wasn't "necessarily" kidnapped. Maybe the guyhad a physical or mental deficit or substance abuse problem (but should not be driving!)-and this is still a frightening situation!

Raising teenagers is quite difficult. You have to create a balance not too strict and not too free otherwise u lose them
Exactly! This dad is the textbook definition of WAY TOO STRICT.
