It’s amazing that the founders kicked off the project with $8000 and now’s it’s raking in millions, surely no amount is too small or too much for a good vision well implemented. Cheers to the founders and to the right hires they get to keep the momentum
May I respectfully point out -- not suggest, just point out -- that graciously volunteering to do a thing and doing a thing wrong are not mutually exclusive.
@@Claudialupper That is gracious and generous of you to volunteer your time to help students in their studies. The students are very thankful, I have had a tutor for help with different formulas, and logic class. Taking Logic class, and with the help of a tutor allowed me to master a whole new way of learning. That Logic class made everything click for me, a new way of thinking and comprehension.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm a practicing Architect with a Master's degree and professional registration. But I was thinking to add a carer not change careers... I really enjoyed teaching for the one year I did it and I really enjoy doing Design Reviews.
My niece and nephews going to high school in Africa are much more brilliant than most these kids paying $1000/hr. Yearly tuition is less than $100 in one of the best high schools.
@ myself and most of my classmates from Africa came here as international students. We are all engineers, chemists, data engineers, IT specialists etc.and some in medical school now.
A non-finance undergraduate from a so-so school can work in investment bank front office as an highly paid equity trader, while an Asian American PhD or finance MBA from top universities can only work at low paid jobs in back office for risk reporting or even IT. It is so ridiculous 😮
At the top banks - most folks on trading desks come from the Ivy's. Of course you do have a few who are NOT, but that's not the norm. Now, I must preface ALL that by saying the "Trading floor" is a highly unusual work environment that is ill-suited for those who are particularly meek and overly-sensitive. Notwithstanding having a solid analytical skills and intelligence, the most important traits needed to thrive on the trading floor are 1) Can you work well and think clearly under extreme stress, 2) Can you tolerate spontaneous moments of public humiliation, and 3) Can you function in a completely public work setting devoid of any privacy. Then again there are always plenty of opportunities to work in Banking. ... but what do I know, since I only spent a decade+ as in Institutional Bond Trader/ Salesman at Lehman...
AI is trash compared to what butters can teach. AI will score the internet to provide answer to a question and the student may still not understand the answer since they never understood what was being asked to begin with. There is no replacement for the human brain.
Mad. Nowhere but in America. Americans don't know how lucky they are to live in the US, I don't even understand what they are so unhappy about. Seriously. Amazing stuff.
@christhom6201 How cryptic can it possibly be? Getting squashed in Assad's human press on mere suspicion of opposing the tyrant vs. Making $1M a year as a tutor and being able to vote out sitting presidents? Doesn't seem to require supercomputing powers to know which has to be a better life!

+ his top notch education.... which got him into WallStreet where he built his network, knowing where to go what to do.....
Wow. I volunteer tutor individuals in trig, pre-calc, calculus, and Latin. For free. And all I get is whining from parents. I am doing this ALL WRONG!

It's a rewarding experience. It goes beyond teaching and empowers individuals to realize their full potential
$1,000.00 per hour is outrageous.
Why not if people can afford it. It is an investment worth more than buying designer clothes
There’s people who make way more money in less time.
It's harder to pull off than you think.😊
For some people, 1k/hour is nothing. Those people are their clients.
@ That is true
Only rich kids can afford the benefits of these educators
Good education in America is sparse so now it is highly valued.
Where do I sign up to be a tutor? I have a professional degree in healthcare. Maybe I need to change careers.

Love this concept 🎉
Clickbait.
Atleast the tutors understand their worth.
It’s worth the labor.
How can the schools be so bad tutoring is needed?
@innagotavita6117 have you seen american public schools?

There are plenty of Asians on Wall Streets and in finance.
@@tascrphs the “trading floor” is about optics. It’s antiquated and unnecessary in today’s world.
Good 🤗
Dope
Ok four minutes time ok
I wonder how AI will effect his business model

Chatgpt is likely the tutor of the future.
Some teaching can be done by AI. But when kids really need tutoring, they'll need the kind of instruction and feedback that a human can provide.

This voiceover person has a nice voice
must be an OF for tutors or something
They must be offering "other services".
$1 Million after taxes?

Please refrain if you don’t truly know the ends and outs of living in the US or elsewhere

Actually this is the culture in Asian countries. The competition is stiff. The US is actually late to the game.
😊
