What does the indoor part do while the outdoor is defrosting? Does it blow out cold air?
No depending on the Brand and model, it will either ramp down to very minimum airflow or stop completely during defrost mode.
My mini split is frozen and I have no idea what to do because that goddamn, obnoxious music was too loud to hear him talk.🤦🏼🤷🏻♂️

Is there anyway to manually defrost... like with a propane weed torch or heat gun? Or is that just too crazy?
The safest way to avoid damage would be pails of hot tap water, but if you have to defrost manually all the time, you more than likely have a problem.
Run it so it cools inside for 5 mins. Your welcome =)
What about a pioneer version of these mine constantly ices up and it doesn’t say it’s defrosting
You can put it on air conditioning mode for five to ten minutes , fan on low . That will take care of excessive frost / ice build up . Then switch back .
