Yesss. I love this show. The first half of S1 is a little slow but only because there is a lot of world building and lore to get through. S2 is phenomenal from ep 1 to the finale.
You will definitely want subtitles going forward- though mostly English, there are parts in both Spanish and Italian (and I think I remember a fourth language gets added in season 2)
Oh I'm surprised you didn't got subtitles for the Spanish part. The show does switch a bit between languages, so using subtitles may be a good thing. Hi Dakara. I really enjoyed your reaction to this epic show. For once we have a reactor who thinks, and analysis the dynamics. Warrior Nun is so much deeper than its parts, and so many reactors only watch for the ship, and miss the meaning. Obviously, the show is about religion, and if you know anything about the bible, you will understand the dovetailing. As you progress, the similarities will become clear and I'm sure you will deduce the meaning of the storyline. Its complex and has a message that transcends the kickass story of shotgun wielding, ninja fighting, halo enhanced nuns who are tasked to save the world. BTW, you will need subtitles. This is an international cast, and the show is mainly set in Portugal and Spain, and Alba Baptista's first language is Portuguese, (I believe she speaks five languages.) and most of the cast do not speak English as their primary language, which makes this show very impressive. Fantastic acting and awesome stunts await. The bible verse that heads each ep is worth reading prior to watching, because it relates to what's coming. Keep up the good work. I caught the first season when it first came out and immediately came back for more, even though the second season took 2+ years to come out. Definitely worth the wait tho. I think you are going to really enjoy it. I know a lot of people say that the beginning of the first season gets a little slow (which I can see), but I personally really enjoy the introduction, study and slow development of characters. That way when things really get going there's a lot more weight to them. You definitely want subtitles, the show does a good job to sort of pay homage to its international cast and they do speak in different languages at points (which I absolutely love). No matter how many times I rewatch this show, I love it every time. So, very excited to go on this journey with you. Take care

You should activate the subtitles because throughout the series the characters all speak in different languages at random times. Spanish. german, etc. What the father is saying here is interesting explaining a bit about who these spirits affect human behavior but also a bit of insight into him as person and his struggle.

I think that scene was probably the reason I continued watching, because it's not often that a show can really surprise you, you know? It showed potential. Anyway, I've never seen another video by you but I'm inclined to say you're gonna love it based on your reaction and simply the fact that this show is very good (especially the second season). if you like buffy i think you'll really like this show. the action scenes and the special effects are great and the story is so interesting. and it's funny.
Like your reaction ! but something is wrong with the sound of the episode : there is black cuts between the scenes so the viewer cannot be drown into the episode and it's affecting the experience (also you need the subtitles because they will speak spanish and italian too :) )
No spoilers. But so much seems straight out of Buffy. Random season 1-7 direct refers. I’m watching Buffy with you so no spoilers. Just let us know when you see the blatant rip off moments. But it’s a fun show. And it gets better as it goes on. It left me wanting more for sure.

Basically, the hype only comes from one scene from the last episode of the second season. Otherwise good fight scenes, bad special effects and very good actors. Story doesn't knock anyone off their feet. Series is okay but nothing more. Definitely doesn't do justice to the hype. For the 🌈's, the series is certainly very special. I enjoyed watching it and I'm looking forward to the third season. I also hope for a happy ending.
Now, this is gonna be a hell of a ride! I'm sure you're gonna love this show.

Weird, in the US there are burned in subtitles for the foreign language parts. Maybe in UK you need to manually turn them on.

It's weird that there was no subtitles on that. I never used subtitles and it always had them for the non English parts.
