this is a nice idea and i am still surprised nintendo themselves has not done it yet.
It’s awful. It’s now just a generic New Super Mario Bros clone, and takes away all the identity the original had.

It looks great but the helisuit instead of the raccoon tail+ears just feels super wrong
i wish Nintendo did an actual remake of these games with modern graphics
a re-creation of all the 5 games on "Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World" with 2020+ graphics and more levels, but don't change the gameplay too much so older players will keep adapted to it still
i mean it would even be easy money for them and the 5 games with extra content and modern graphics would be better for $60.00 than the stuff they did with 3D All Stars so why not LOL

All the mario games from the new allstars seem to use the NSMB (New super mario bros) engine. The original SNES All-stars stayed true to each game and not homogenized.
